Awesome Action Rogue-like! Its like if you mixed Ninja Gaiden with Shiren the Wanderer, good stuff!

Pros

- Great Combat
- Amazing Music
- Decent Writing
- Great Character Design

Cons

- Tons of backtracking
- Too much dialogue at times, which leads to bad pacing
- Difficulty is all over the place

I enjoyed this game very much, the gameplay is top notch and doesn't dissapoint in that regard as a Ys game. Really my only gripe with this game was the characters started talking too much, if you played a Legend of Heroes game you will understand what I'm talking about when I say there is way too much exposition.

Every time you make any progress, all the characters have to repeat the same exact thing over and over again. One character says something, then every single other characters has to chime in. Can you imagine this group of characters ordering food at a restaurant? It would take an hour!

If you don't mind a lot of rambling then this won't bother you of course, its easy to look past because the game itself is so dang good! The combat and Music carry this game really hard!

A new First Person RPG enters the fray, a welcome entry into a genre that I love!

Lots of build variety here, 3 different Class skill trees (Fighter, Ranger, Wizard) that you can mix around to make your own build. Unique Gear that adds special effects, something akin to Diablo Unique gear.

The combat is tight, you can dodge and block, you have a decent weapon type variety - of which you can upgrade to 4 different tiers of power. Magic is very epic from what I've seen so far, Melee feels good, you can get Flintlock Pistols/Rifles! The game has variety in spades.

The writing and Story haven't really grabbed my attention honestly, it's really a mixed bag in this regard. I'm not going to remember more than half of the people I met in this game. You have a lot of dialogue choices that affect outcomes to certain quests I've noticed, which is always a plus!

Onto the technical side of things, I didn't encounter any bugs or frame rate issues. The game seems very well optimized. A ton of Settings to tailor the game to your specific liking. The Third Person mode in my honest opinion isn't very good, it felt floaty, it reminded me of Oblivion Third Person a little bit (nowhere near as bad) First Person view feels so much more responsive, could you play it in Third Person? Sure! Might take a bit to get used to.

Overall: 7.5/10

Pros: Combat, Exploration, Build Variety, Graphics, Sound/Music, Game runs smoothly!

Cons: Static NPCs, Can't Pickpocket/Kill NPCs, Bad Story/Writing, World can feel a little lifeless

Top tier ARPG goodness!

The only downside is that there are a bunch of Classes locked behind paywalls, but there is a good amount of free ones.

I wish there was more variety of Weapons/Items/Magic though, not a whole lot going on there.

Game itself is great

I hereby decree that, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to forever be known as a masterwork of a video game.

A blast to the past, to the Golden Age of JRPGs!

Everything about this game is excellent, the music, combat, stories are all made with the highest caliber in the genre. Each character's story is 100x better than anything the AAA game studios are producing nowadays.

Highly recommend if you are a fan of JRPGs.
