Season 2 of Beast Wars on VHS 最近的评测

This game is... unique, let's put it that way. Hammerfight is a game in which you pilot a small helicopter-like vehicle, attached to which is a giant freewheeling hammer. Or sword. Or pickaxe. Or giant rock on a chain. You control your helicopter by moving the mouse (this will probably require some in-game DPI adjustment to get it working to your liking), and the challenge is in learning how to move your vehicle so that your freewheeling weapon hits things. Preferably at a high velocity.

There's a very fun unlockable arena mode early on in the game, with an additional monster-hunting one made available after you've beaten the game. There's also Hammerball, which is honestly not very fun.

Cons: While it has a somewhat interesting plot, the backstory is just confusing. The dialogue isn't the best, though it's been translated from Russian, so you can't expect perfection. The difficulty curve is rather high, hitting its first, rather severe, peak around the fourth level or so.

I bought this game twice, I'll have you all know. That's how much I like this game.

World of Goo is an adorable, charming, and above all, inventive puzzle game developed by a couple of guys sitting in a coffee shop. It was born from a much simpler game posted on the Experimental Gameplay Project (experimentalgameplay.com) entitled Tower of Goo, in which you attached little balls of oily 'goo' to one another via stiff strings of the stuff, in an effort to create a tower that's as tall as possible without causing it to buckle and fall.

World of Goo takes this mechanic and applies it to a somewhat more varied kind of puzzle solving, introducing a myriad of different varieties of goo in addition to the basic black. (There's still a Tower of Goo mode, though, so worry not!)

Basically: buy this game. It is wonderful and you will love it.
