 Monster Hunter Wilds. It's Monster Hunter, what more is there to say... This game is peak as hell. The combat feels great, the music is amazing, the world and monsters are fantastic, and I appreciated the different direction they went with the story. It was slow at times, but I really liked that there was a coherent story line in the game. I disagree with people saying it was too easy, as I thought the difficulty was just right for a Monster Hunter game. Not too easy that it is not enjoyable, but not too hard either. I really enjoyed the story of the game and will probably pour hundreds of hours in to it until the next game, 9/10 :mhwilds_OK:

 The Roottrees are Dead. Internet sleuthing, detective game where you are tasked with reconstructing the Roottree family tree and unravel the mysteries within. I really liked this game, it reminded me of Return of the Obra Dinn, of which it seemed very inspired by, in a good way! I liked the concept and the way in which you uncovered clues that led to new ones was very satisfying. I've only played the base game which was not too hard, but I hear that the expansion is much more difficult. I'll update my review after the expansion, 8/10 :tabbycat:

 Blue Prince. A rouge-like mystroidvania where you draft paths of rooms in the mysterious Mt. Holly Estate to reach the even more mysterious Room 46. Overall, I enjoyed this game but it definitely lost some steam near the conclusion. There are lots of puzzles to solve and an intriguing narrative to uncover, however I found that after a while the repetitiveness of the game became too much. The gameplay is fun for a while, the puzzles are good, and the story is interesting too. If the game went on any longer, I think that my review would be different. I'd recommend this game to people who enjoy both rouge-like games and puzzle games, but not to people who only like one or the other, 7/10 :cocoon_orb:

 DOOM (2016). It's DOOM, let's be real, this game is sick AS HELL! In DOOM 2016 you take the role of the DOOM marine and your job is to rip and tear through the UAC's research facility on Mars as well as Hell itself. The game is super fun, challenging at times, and the vibe is immaculate. The music is amazing, awesome job Mick. Great game, but kind of short and gets pretty tedious/repetitive towards the end. Overall, the game is amazing, 8/10 :mhwhelp:

 DOOM Eternal. DOOM 2016 but way better. This was the obvious evolution of the previous game and it did not disappoint. Faster, harder, and more action-packed. The level design and balance felt way better and it ended up being more satisfying to play. Really great game, and of course Mick Gordon absolutely killed it with the soundtrack, 9/10 :er_heart:

 SILENT HILL 2. Never played the original, so I got to go into this masterpiece completely blind. Originally I had picked this game up because I heard it was a classic and I wanted to play a horror game; completely oblivious to the fact that I was in for so much more: a game about mental illness and the complexity of human emotions. This game had an impact on me, and one that I do not think I will soon forget. The weight of the world, the atmosphere, the visual design, the sound design, and the characters were all perfect. The horror elements were great as well, however I found them and the enemy design to become repetitive near the end of the game Overall, I am very happy that I stumbled upon SILENT HILL 2 and I think it has become one of my favorite games of all time, 10/10 :Hearthian_Shocked:

 Abiotic Factor. Half-Life inspired survival crafter that takes inspiration from a bunch of different games and genres -- specifically Half-Life and SCP-Foundation. This game is a ton of fun with a good amount of depth and an interesting story. There is more than meets the eye with this game. The environments are unique, the enemies are varied, and I think that most of the levels are designed fairly well. There are some issues with tedious sections of the game, questionable enemy placement, and a few crazy difficulty spikes but the overall quality of the game makes up for those shortcomings. The story is also pretty interesting too, which I was not expecting! One of the best survival crafters on the market at the moment, and a must-play for those who like the genre, 7.5/10 :winter2019cooldog:

 Silent Hill f. Silent Hill, but Japanese. This is like the Dark Souls 2 of the Silent Hill franchise. The story was amazing, the atmosphere was palpable, and they did an amazing job with the psychological horror elements of the game. The combat was new and interesting, but overall not amazing. The level design, specifically the enemy placement, was not great. I really liked this game and thought that the story was bold and poignant, but the action elements of the game detracted from my overall enjoyment. 8/10 :mhwilds_goodbye:

 RV There Yet. Fun, little 'friendslop' game. Played this with two other people and it was genuinely super fun. Sure there were some bugs and the gameplay was a little jank, but I thought it was great for it's price and concept, 7/10 :sbpatr:

 Cocoon [100% Completion]. An exploration puzzle game where you solve puzzles within puzzles within puzzles. The puzzle design in this game was some of the best I've ever experienced, and the soundtrack is world-class, 9/10 :btd6stunned:

 The Forgotten City. A narrative-driven adventure game set in an ancient Roman city with a time-loop mechanic. In my opinion, this game fell very flat in almost every aspect. The narrative was just average, the music and sound design weren't great, and the puzzles were almost non-existent with the inclusion of a voice in your head that basically gives you the solutions. This game has great ratings, but it just wasn't for me, 4/10 :mhwhelp:

 Chants of Sennaar [100% Completion]. A unique puzzle game about deciphering ancient languages and helping to connect people of different cultures. I very much enjoyed this game and it has since become one of my favorite games in the genre, 9.5/10 :btd6thumbsup:

 Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. A unique FromSoftware game set in feudal Japan where you play as a shinobi who attempts to take revenge on a samurai clan that imprisoned him and kidnapped his lord. Simultaneously one of the most challenging and satisfying games I've ever played. The unforgiving combat system in this game takes some time to learn and can be really frustrating, but I ended up really enjoying it's flow after it started to click for me. Not the hardest game that FromSoftware has released, but it is definitely up there in terms of difficulty, 9/10 :er_heart:

 Dark Souls 2: SotFS. The second installment in the Dark Souls series that takes place in the kingdom of Drangleic. I really wish I could recommend this game, but it is just not good. The atmosphere and story were the only things I liked about this game. The level design, the bosses, and the gameplay just felt so clunky and unfun. The base game was just fine, but the DLC just sucked, 5/10 :er_sad:

 ANIMAL WELL [100% Completion]. A metroidvania-puzzle game that takes place in a sprawling, secret-filled map that rivals Hollow Knight in it's design. This game is if Tunic was a metroidvania. Everything about this game was incredible. The puzzles are excellent and just the right amount of challenging, the environments are dense and atmospheric, and the sound design was rich and immersive. This is sure to go down as one of the best games in the puzzle-platformer genre and definitely earns it perfect score, 10/10 :sunglassesDoge:

 Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. A mix between an escape room, an IQ test, and an eighth grade math test. Doesn't sound fun on the outside, but I really had a blast with this game. The story was really interesting and the environment was atmospheric and immersive. The puzzles were expertly designed and I really appreciated that the game doesn't hold you hand. I had a notebook, and by the end I had taken 13 pages of notes for this game. Great puzzler, and a must-play for enjoyers of the genre, 9/10 :mhwhappy:

 Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Absolute masterpiece of a DLC on top of a FromSoftware masterpiece. The DLC was great, the map was interesting to explore, the new enemies were a lot of fun to fight, and the bosses were awesome. It was just the right amount of hard (post-patch), and I had a great time playing. I highly recommend this DLC to anyone who enjoyed the base game, 10/10 :er_heart:

 Lies of P. Great souls-like game with lots of atmosphere and really cool mechanics. I really enjoyed the gameplay, the bosses, and the different ways you could play. I think that the weapon system is very unique and adds a ton of extra ways to play. My only gripe with the game is how linear it is: it is very on-rails. Great game for fans of the genre, 8/10 :sbpatr:

 Leap Year. Fun, short puzzle platformer based on knowledge and discovery. It's one of those games where you have all the tools to beat the game right from the beginning but you are gated by your knowledge of the mechanics. The main gimmick of the game is that your character is very frail and dies if you fall even a short distance. Fun, frustrating, and charming. Not the greatest game I've played, not the worst, but I enjoyed it and was able to beat it in about 2 hours, 6.5/10 :thumbspoop:
