Everything Harvest Moon dreamed of being years ago.

Removed Linux support. Broke multiplayer on Steam Deck and other Linux installs. Simple implementation of battleye to Linux so either laziness on the developers part or negligence and planned division of platforms.

This is a story. It is not completely coherent with one walk through the game. Do 2 or 3 and the characters become clear. Beautiful sound design and narration, along with good visuals. This was a nice way to wind down.

My girlfriend and I are ahaving a lot of fun just sailing around together, haven't had any major issues. My only complaint would be the ridiculous animal spawns. Otherwise, the game is working great for us. I'm on a vega frontier and she's using an older GTX 770 but it handles the game no problem with only 2GB of video memory. We play on PVE so we don't have any of the issues most are reporting that surround PVP.

1 hour in, This game is awesome. The weapon and shooting mechanics are more polished than ever, and bullets feel like they have more impact and weight than in the previous games. The Seed family is quickly introduced, and then pushed aside as you start liberating the first island in the game. Every area is unlocked to discover right from the beginning, and the polish of removing old unneeded mechanics along with the addition of new ones are noticeable.

The graphics are beautiful, and my Vega Frontier Edition manages 144fps at 1440p without hesitation. This game scales well and I notice that all my i7-4960X's CPU cores are being used. Very well optimized for anyone that was wondering if they could run it. The minimum I would use would be a GTX 670, or an R9 270. (I guess the minimum recommended specs are actually accurate this time around) The trees and grass look nice with either MSAA or TAA, and both have minimal performance impact.

The characters are believable for the most part, but tend to cause themselves trouble. The sound design adds to the asthetic and is well balanced. The minimap has been removed and it only adds to the environment. The buddy system works well and having a full co-op campaign is great for my brother and I to experience the story together. Overall, best Far Cry yet. They could not have made this game better as a fifth sequel.

The action is lots of fun, with easy to get into and ahrd to master gameplay. 8/10 because sometimes there is desync even on a great connection.
