The game is decent enough, with simple gameplay and controls. Unfortunately, the monetization is out of control. Just like Warframe, crafting takes real time to do with the option to spend real money to skip it, this wouldn't be too bad if it weren't for the fact higher tier gear requires refined materials to make and you have to (you guessed it) craft the refined materials too. Add this to the fact you only have one slot to craft with at a time and need to, again, spend real money to open more slots, crafting quickly becomes tedious. You can queue up multiple of the same craft but the next one doesn't start until you go to the smith and actually click "claim rewards" so I don't understand what the point of queuing up multiple is. You also have limited inventory space, which seems weird for a roguelite where you're constantly picking up crafting materials and money, or gear from the mini-dungeons. Again, you have to spend real money to increase inventory size. Thankfully, there is a vault at the main base you can throw all your stuff into, and you can warp back to base and there's warp points around the map you can find to help get back to where you were, but having to stop playing all the time to run back for inventory management kind of sucks. You can also spend real money for new classes, the descriptions made it sound like you can unlock them in-game but it wasn't very clear. I know free-to-play games have to have some sort of monetization, but Survived By has too much monetization affecting gameplay. I would much prefer if the monetization was purely cosmetic items and didn't affect core gameplay. Maybe when it gets out of Early Access it'll have more stuff to do so you won't be hitting a paywall constantly, but for now I say give this a pass.
