Really cool game, one part running overtime fixing generators, one part avoiding death by ghosts, and one part kissing the aforementioned ghosts. Really wholesome, made me smile.

I jumped into this game on Hard Mode as my first playthrough. It got really hard halfway through, really.
Level 13 was notoriously difficult because of all the junk flying about, but it felt really good once I beat it.

10/10 would recommend if you like cute ghost girls or bullet hell games or both.

Giving the pie recipe a go tomorrow, will keep y'all updated.

Really good game, would recommend to any fans of stealth games. The game features a really good story and great characters set in a world that is really detailed if you care to look and read notes scattered all around the maps. The choices you make impact the world that you're set in, character's attitudes and actions all around you as well as the ending, and the game never forces you into one specific way of doing something.

The DLC's for this game (mainly The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches) are really well made as well, and tell a story from the perspective of the assassin, that we first meet in the first mission. They all add depth to the world, and while some missions are a little buggy (*cough* Captain of Industry the no kill run ruiner *cough*) they're still really fun to play.

At least for as long as you don't aim to do 100% Achievements. Dunwall City Trials' achievements are horrendous. But the gamemodes themselves are really fun, expecially the brain ones, at least in my opinion.

Ragdolls in this game (and especially in Dishonored 2) are pure gold.

TL;DR:
Slightly buggy but makes up for it with great story, characters;
Your choices matter and affect the world around you, and you can reach your goal in many creative ways.
Don't go for 100% achievements unless you're mad

10/10, would play again (except for Dunwall City Trials, the achievement hunt made me hate it so much)

I guess 100%'ing the game its time for a review. No spoilers.

I first came into contact with the game through Youtube videos and decided to buy it after watching about halfway through the story. By that time I knew its an open-world with a linear story, so I didnt expect the game to shock me in any way until the point I was at in the gameplay series. But oh boy was I wrong.

This game feels so much better when played on your own rather than watching (its often the case for me), and you just miss so many small details that build the world around you, small interactions you can hear between random NPC's because to keep the videos entertaining youtubers cant really afford to stay in one place for 2-3 minutes at a time to listen to dialogue in a game that executes it so well in terms of telling a story. I have also found myself invested way more in the characters and feeling their emotions with them during my time playing over time watching.

The game gets a little buggy at times with ragdolls and certain encounters, but it is rarely gamebreaking (I only had a bug like this once, during my second time playing where I was stealth killing enemies and during a kill animation I transitioned into a cutscene which resulted in the location not loading in properly and forcing me to reload an earlier save), mostly freakers flying in the air (which didnt happen often, but I found it hilarious when it did), or your bike bouncing on a rock way higher than it should (which also only happened to me once at one of the camps bridges during NG+) and Im pretty sure the bugs were due to me modding some game files to add new bike paints and retextures.

Other than that, there's very few flaws, mostly nitpicking if you're really trying to look for them, but then, you can do that with any game that's came out.

If you enjoy a good story in a post-apo theme - This game is a must play, and you can catch it at 50% off at a sale like I did.
For me, it was 130h well spent and If I could forget the story to play again and enjoy it the way I did first time, I definitely would.

After spending some time playing the game and hunting hidden achievements, I figured its time to write a review.

This game, even in Story Mode is pretty difficult (as its meant to be) and it was a very pleasant experience for me, with a step-up in difficulty compared to previous two games and a good story in a different wing, working around what we learn in previous two games.

Highly recommend playing to any puzzle game enjoyer, its free and requires you to really think about the space around you to proceed. Also has some neat easter eggs!

I figured a good time for writing a review would be waiting for the last 2 achievements, it'll be split into two parts:
- Early to MId game (Before Cosmic items)
- Late game (Cosmic+ items) / Achievement Hunting
There will also be a TL;DR at the end because I have a tendency to go in detail for no reason and I rant a lot so you can skip to that.

My overall experience with the game was pretty good (really good until late game came in), I ran across it on youtube a long time back and bought it when it was somewhere around half off and the main reasons were the chill gameplay and the graphics.

The game is very easy to pick up and learn (theres not much to learn anyway), its a basic survival game where you manage your resources and upgrade your gear and build your base, expanding by buying land all around you for increased price the further it is from starting island.

The new lands you unlock come with new NPCs that give you quests and have some nice throwbacks to other gaming 'quotes', memes or completely break the 4th wall, or instead of said NPCs, come with new dungeons or puzzles, of which I most solved on my own.

My issues with the game started appearing in mid game and were very limited, mostly coming from the game not really telling you how you can obtain resources you need for next equipment upgrades, but nothing that wiki cant solve so it wasnt a big issue.

Late game however, (that being reaching Cosmic/Nuclear Gear and eventually hunting Achievements) was less than I'd hoped for (yes, this will be somewhat a rant, Im typing this 8h into waiting for the last achievement)

Around that time I found a bunch of ways to keep a bulk of mid tier components, stone and wood related resources were never a problem (unless I started building 30 units of the same building, because the building cost stacks exponentially, and is reduced whenever you break one of that building, exception being Quarries and Shrines, which never get cheaper ) I was however, always running out of plant-based resources (cotton, beets).

Crafting times for items required skyrockets, instead of needing a few seconds turns into a few minutes really quickly - and that is crafting one unit of Cosmic Steel, (which you need 15 of to upgrade an item, or 2 to make another item that later you need 15 of to upgrade into Nuclear items), and even stacking a whole bunch of powerhouses, even though it helps, still makes you feel like it takes ages.

Getting mats for late game items also sucks, you have two options:
- Void Runs (Which suck ass imo)
- Banners and Scrolls (Which are a good way once u stacked up damage and resources)
Unless you have the patience to farm Beets (Which I didnt, and I probably missed a way to make it automatic) You'll probably have to opt out for Void runs, which without damage take a lot of time , because you have to first kill the enemies and then mine the resources (u can do both at the same time if you have enough damage), and the bossess that give the loot you need appear far, far ahead, when there's about 80 enemies with 2k hp each on the level to clear and the screen becomes a bullet hell itself.

And even if you have the resources to make banners and scrolls, you still need damage to kill the bosses, which despawn when you die 3 or 5 times, cant recall correctly. At first these bosses take ages to kill, yet each kill gives you stat orbs, and if you play and farm long enough, you can technically one shot bossess as there supposedly (according to a dev post I saw) isnt a dmg cap.

The very late game is also the very definition of a Gaussian Distribution (and Im not even kidding), Certain basic things you have more than you think you do (e.g. 5 mil stones) and some thigns you have none of (like beets), then there's the mid-tier resources which you have an abundance of regardless of what it is (or if its not an abundance, you're constantly crafting a surplus of it), and theres late game components u constantly lack.

Also Achievements are cancer, getting 1 mil coins through banks, with 32 banks stacked powerhouses (which I dont even think help banks), semi-active shrine bonuses (shrines also powerhoused to reduce cooldowns) took me 5.5h in game (I played League while waiting).

I do however still recommend to pick up the game when its on 50% off or more, just because its a very pleasant experience when you dont sweat over achievements like I did

TL;DR The game itself is really fun to play in the beginning and keeps you engaged for about 10 to 15 hours (Im guessing, it took ~20h for me to reach Void/Cosmic tier equips because my smooth brain tried to solve puzzles on their own, which mostly arent too hard), doesnt necessarily tell you what it wants from you and turns into a grindfest around Cosmic/Nuclear tier equipments, and 5 achievements are just a pain in the ass to get, I do still recommend to get it 50% off (or more)

This review will be based on personal experience and will contain some terrible sentence building but I'll do my best to keep it well-written.
Metro Exodus is a game, that I've had slight problems at first (due to my pc being crap, barely meeting minimal requirements), but after some adjustments in options it worked on fairly stable ~30fps (Minimal recommended are I5 4400 and GTX 1050 and mine is I5 6300HQ and GTX 950M, so there's that) therefore I wont speak too much about the graphics.

About the story

Metro Exodus is a game that you SHOULD PLAY AFTER finishing previous parts (unlike I did, where I went straight for this game) since it includes references and spoilers as to what had canonically happened in the previous parts.
The story doesnt require you to necessarily finish previous games though. I myself havent and still had a ton of fun keeping up with what's going on.
Characters are well written, each of them having their own quirks and behavior, making sure that you'll immerse yourself in the story and share the feelings with the crew. I myself have spent several hours replaying certain parts just to hear some dialogue that I may have missed.
Between every mission, there's an intermission corresponding to a given season, which works more like a story-telling moment including plenty of dialogue that you can skip most of (but you should listen to it, if you want to have the best experience). There is some dialogue during missions that I feel like it's slightly forced or not expressing according to what's happening, but that doesnt affect the immersion too much, as there's not much of 'unfitting' speech.

Some words about the gameplay and my experience

Gameplay itself is great, despite me having to play on low fps I still had very much fun while playing, despite having to wait some time before I loaded into a save or another mission. Combat with Demons and 'rats' as I call them was fairly challenging to me, since they were pretty mobile and I often kept missing shots (Aiming with low fps sucks). I personally tried to avoid shooting at all, and instead opted for going sneaky until I couldnt no more and ended up reloading saves for up to 15 times every now and then, but you certainly dont have to do that.
Reason for that is, like in previous games - There's a Moral Point system which depending on your actions in certain parts of the game defines how your story will go and what'll happen to the crew on their way - and in the end the ending as well. I of course overdid with my cautiousness and tried avoiding killing people where I could, but it's mostly shooting the innocent and non-hostile characters that affects it the bad way. Also, whenever you gain a Moral Point you get a sound que and your screen flashed white or black, so you can just reload the save if you're unhappy with the result (that's what I did for the most part).

Relatively short opinion

After spending 80 hours in this game I can assure you that you should avoid using ALT+F4 or the Task Manager when the game freezes, unless you're really, really sure it wont come back up in a couple of minutes after you alt tabbed during a loading screen (shouldnt be a problem on pc's/laptops better than mine). I've had a great time with this game, which has been an emotional train (Both literally and metaphorically) I was on with the characters presented. I HIGHLY recommend avoiding any wikipedias or walkthroughs on your first try, as you might spoil yourself a big part of the story or the ending.
I do recommend getting the game for full price, it's really worth it.

TL;DR
Story is great, characters are written well making immersion far easier.
Gameplay is a whole lot of fun both for people who explore a lot (even though maps arent the biggest, there are plenty of collectibles and close to a half I havent found in 55hrs on one save)
Definitely worth the full price, though make sure your pc can handle it first unlike me (see first paragraph)
Try to keep away from wiki's and walkthroughs before finishing first playthrough.
