Great game, the end to a trilogy. However, you will be left with some questions that need answers. Without spoiling, some characters or interactions that occur will make you feel as if you can adjust them, however you may not be able to do anything at all in the end. I guess that's how life is sometimes though? It has it's own appeal to it. On the other hand, while it's in the same world as the cat lady and downfall, it feels a little strayed from the feel that you're playing as a character who is part of an illness. Rather you play as someone who is around people who are ill/mentally unstable; and as a result, become stressed/affected. A bird's eye to the problems in the world if you will. I only have 2 issues with the game. First being that it's very simplified compared to the first 2. Simplified because it's no longer a point and click but a side-scroller. This means that all of the items become straight forward to find, alongside not being able to really mess things up unless you try hard in my opinion. Second qualm being that you can't load and save the game like the previous versions, but on a first play-through it basically makes you play based off of your morals (at least it felt that way for me), which is kinda awesome. This means that whatever you think was best, whether it result in a good or bad ending is on you yourself. Which is how life pans out, we can't always get to see our mistakes before we make them.

Slight spoilers below:

The Karma system - While it is interesting and something that you can increase/decrease, it doesn't change much in the game outside of AL's scenario. Which sort of makes you feel that there's something missing and that there should be more than just 2 endings. However there are only 2, but you can change other's lives as well more-so than just your own.

In the end, it was a great experience, hopefully Rem will make more of these styled games as they speak to me and the others that enjoy them in a way that most games nowadays don't. And if you loved the cat lady / downfall, i'd suggest you play this as well since it has some nice throwbacks and vibes. As well as better visuals and music to match :)

Potential Spoilers:

Good demo, 30 minute cap but you can beat the game before the 30 minutes and still play and peep a few things you may have missed. A lot is locked off, because they're not trying to let people view most of the game since this is going to be in the final product. However, you'll get a feel of the combat, how the mobs attack/take damage, as well as the 3rd party item interaction/possibilities that can come to mind. The game gives you a sneak preview on most of the essentials, but leaves you wanting more, alongside the adjustments to the original product. 10/10

+ The only reason this game is worth playing is because it wraps up the loose strings left hanging by the first Still Life.

- For most of the game, the protagonists are trapped, waiting for a psychopath to come and torture them to death.
- The protagonists are not particularly endearing, making it difficult to care what happens to them.
- The same environment is used over and over for nearly the whole game.
- Limited inventory space is used to artificially increase the difficulty of puzzles by inflicting upon the player the tedious task of carting large items back and forth.
- The puzzles are rarely difficult, and usually only because of bad design.
- Solutions are often either illogical or puzzles offer multiple logical solutions, only one of which is correct for no discernable reason.
- Timed puzzles with impending death are often used to artificially create drama, but they are triggered somewhat at random, often leaving you doomed because didn't collect all needed items/clues first.
- The rotten trick of items only becoming interactable after certain plot triggers is often used, especially with timed puzzles.
- When all logical solutions failed, I often had to run to a walkthrough, only to find the first solution I attempted was correct, but either the clunky interface or dependence on plot triggers was preventing it from working.
- The last puzzle actually discourages the player from attempting to solve it by making running to a walkthrough the only tolerable option. Encouraging players to cheat in an adventure game...
- Lastly, the ending was not at all satisfying.

Copy pasted this review because of how accurate it is. Don't recommend this game if you've played Still life 1, better off youtubing the tied knots the first game. This game's intertwined plot with the addition of tying knots is awful, and just seems like an attempt at them trying to sell a game worth the buyer's time. Instead, it is an annoyance.

Didn't know what to expect from the game, and I think if you don't know what the game is about at all it makes it even better.
This game is pretty deep, though at first I didn't understand what was going on. As time progressed it starts to grow on you and is really impressive in terms of storytelling.
I'd recommend this game to anyone
