so much more fun to me than eu iv was. i love that your actions as a player are guided by geography and politics rather than a mission tree. and i like mission trees! it is very complex and i don't understand all the mechanics yet, but that's part of the appeal. it feels like a deep simulation while still being fun to play, which is exactly what i want from a paradox game.

the issues with it are what you'd expect: questionable ui design, obvious bugs and typos, and mediocre ai. but it's already really fun, and if paradox does what they usually do and improve it drastically over time, this game is gonna ruin my life for real

Fun little first person dungeon crawler. The primary appeal is the exploration, as the combat is pretty easy, but there are plenty of secrets and varied environments. If you like the aesthetic, you'll probably like the game. Just don't expect dark souls.

Interesting little game with excellent music and style. If you watch the trailer and it appeals to you, I'd say it's worth picking up during a sale. I'm not someone who personally minds if a game is short, but if you are, be aware that it only took me a little over an hour to play through the whole game. There are both hard and arcade versions of every level, so there's a lot of replayability if you want it.

However, I felt satisfied with the amount I played. The visual and auditory experience of the game is great, and the gameplay is fun, but it has little complexity beyond the basic mechanics. Honestly, if the game was any longer, I'd have gotten pretty bored with it.

Definitely worth a shot if the style appeals to you, but I'd recommend waiting for a sale.

APE OUT

A well-made card roguelike in the style of Slay the Spire that quickly becomes something more. Some parts of it drag a bit (especially the middle), but it's a unique and interesting experience nonetheless.

I played a lot of this before it was on steam. It's a great modern roguelike. Interesting lore, fun to play, dead simple to pick up and play if you're a fan of roguelikes. If you're not, it's still not too difficult to get in to. Survivng and winning, on the other hand, takes a mastery of the game I haven't even begun to approach.
