Stray Gods has amazing art and performances, fun writing and choices to make. I have two critical gripes with the game that makes me want to leave a Maybe recommendation. Liking this game will entirely depend on if you enjoy the music.

The roleplaying aspect wasn't meaningful to me, really. It seems much more like marketing for branching paths in a visual novel than gameplay.

Importantly, the music does not hit for me. There are a couple of motifs I found interesting, but otherwise the music did not resonate with me at all. And that is a shame, considering who the songwriter is and the quality of the performances.

It is a shame, as the setting of Greek idols in the modern world is engaging. Stray Gods is an interesting game to play through once, but the awkward and stilted music leaves me without the urge to ever revisit the game again.
