This game is amazing, and completely will take over your free time. When you lose, you still learn something, and it makes you better for a future run.

If you expect to play a game and win every time, this isn't your game. If you expect to play and get better, and one day look back on how far you've come, this is the best game in the genre for it.

The game is okay, but in a world of Roguelikes it's just not really fun. It's hard to recommend this when there are much better games out there that scratch the itch better.
Runs are slow, and oftentimes feel like slugfests, without any real skill or decisions to be made. In theory the game could get more interesting with the cat breeding mechanics, but there is very little guidance on how it really works (and indeed, it feels very random) and so you're just taking random cats on random adventures.

There might be a gem of an amazing experience hidden, but its not gripping me in the first hour.

This is a really fun card game, I feel theres a lot of fun room for cool combos and challenges, and since its single player it really hits a different note than Hearthstone or other popular vs card games

Whether you are new to the genre, or looking for a new fighter to learn, I can't recommend Fantasy Strike enough. The concept is super simple, stripping away the complexities that prevent you from getting into what really makes Fighting Games rock: The Mind Games. Despite the fact it's super easy to learn ,you will likely never master all the characters and matchups. Very well balanced, very fun modes, give it a try. Now that its Free To Play, there's literally no reason not to.
