It is a bad game from start to finish, and even a worse adaptation of a decent pen and paper RPG.
It did away with attributes and any impact clan selection might have. Which in turn means everything plays the same.
Ability use has been simplified to the point it might have been gutted altogether. Forget about using one ability multiple times.

And if you are here for a solid story, forget about it. Its ok. Almost all characters suffer from bipolar disorder and will emotionally switch on a dime, the writing is wildly inconsistent, and your actions have no consequence. Do you not like a character? Well, deal with it, if they were important for the story, you will have to love them!
There don't seem to be alternative ways to complete objectives either. No peaceful resolution of a violent event, and no violent solution to a peaceful talk.

Its a developers fan fiction, that you are not allowed to deviate from, and where you will have to walk between 2 npcs for minutes just to continue conversations, back and forth, back and forth, and sometimes to spice things up, you will go talk to an item.... and then back to another npc.

Do not get it, unless you want to walk around a well executed moody winter city. Which was for me, the only highlight of the game.

I wish I could love this game. It does many things right. But every time I picked it up over the last few years, builds would be buggy. Skills would not do what they say they do, animations would be disjointed causing your character to get hit before the enemy even takes a swing, bugs including not being able to pick up items, but the most bothersome ones were bugs where an ability does not work, or just does not work as described.
Am I unlucky by stepping on every buggy landmine, or has my tolerance for bugs that break builds gone down? Maybe. If you don't mind having to re roll a character or respec it because interactions are bugged, then the game is great. If you don't feel like putting in multiple hours to find out that the skill does in fact not do what it says. Then stay away.

Its a sad sad game. Mediocrity at its peak.
Somehow bethesda made a game that is mediocre or bad at every aspect.
It does not do space battles well.
The story is bad, but that is just an opinion, but no matter how you look at it its lazy (i don't want to spoil it, but damn its lazy)
It does not do shooting well.
The rpg mechanics are dated
The crafting, is bad
The non combat abilities are near useless (besides talking your way out of literally anything)
Base building is pointless, and somehow worse than fallouts
The space exploration is terrible

It honestly just does not do anything well, the UI is bad and cumbersome, the game does not track anything that a player would want to track, the inventory is a catastrophy since for some reason bethesda refuses to just copy what modders do.

Honestly, spare yourself the disappointment and buy a different game, no mans sky, starsector, whatever. Or if you really must, at least buy it when its more than 50% off, so the disappointment will sting a lot less.

Game is great. Could use some more map customization for random map gen.

Devs released a game that is not feature complete. Has "comming soon" on several features in the game.

The only major thing they added on release was a CASH SHOP... are you kidding me? Their priority was to put a cash shop into the game and monetize a 40 euro game BEFORE FINISHING IT?

Well with this you know where their priorities lie, so expect a unfinished buggy mess for months if not years. If you don't mind that, go for the purchase.

Its a good game. Don't get it if you want an easy game. As great as the game is, its also just as unforgiving.

Fun short game. Might not be something for the hardcore metroidvania fan, but definitely fun for a nice casual playtrough.

I think the game might be pretty fun after i put in these few hours.
