Phantom Samurai 最近的评测

I enjoyed the first 15 hours of this game but it gets boring after that and I stopped playing without even finishing the game. It was the closest experience to the Dark Souls series but too long for a 2D game. Here are my reasons why I cannot recommend this game:

1. The lack of a map for a 3D game is not very important but it made this game very confusing and I lost my way a lot. Even when I found a shortcut I didn't know where I am (There are some stones that you could travel between save points but they are not very common.)

2. There are a lot of "Brands" which add new mechanisms to the game (I liked them and they were fun) but you have to find special spots to use them, again without a map, you have to explore all the previous areas again to find a place to use these brands to progress the story.

3. I only find ONE greatsword in the game which is a very negative point for the developers because you need swords if you want to transmute them to get special swords.

4. There were a lot of annoying places in the game that cause you a lot of unnecessary death and you have to repeat it all again. For example, they designed a mountain-like place where you have to climb it up for a whole minute and then climb down it to reach another point but a powerful enemy was waiting there and killed you and you have to repeat it all again (not funny at all Ska Studios). There are more examples like this one.

5. The upgrade system was not designed well. For example, if you wanted to unlock an additional healing item, you had you unlock previous skills such as skills for a mage, even if your character is melee only.

Overall, I admire Ska Studios as an indie studio that created this game but the problems I mentioned killed all the fun, especially the first two problems :(

In the beginning, I loved this game due to its amazing graphics and the unique gameplay, but then I hated it because of its insane difficulty, I even cheated in the game and then deleted it, but in the end like any other fairy tale, I fell in LOVE with this masterpiece!
And now I wish for more games like SEKIRO!

I can't believe it. I've played Dark Souls and Elden Ring before and I'm familiar with souls games but this one is absolute trash!! I cannot beat the first boss (Onryoki) no matter how much I grind to level up myself. The weird thing is that you cannot upgrade weapons (at least before the first boss) so you cannot play with your favorite weapon if they are not powerful enough, so you have to switch to a strong one to have more chance!

The other thing that is annoying is that you cannot play with a mouse and keyboard, I mean you can but with controller layout all over the game which is confusing. One of the reasons I play games on PC is to play with a mouse and keyboard.

At first, I liked the game and its atmosphere, but later I realized that the game is not balanced at all. I love soul games but this is not a good game.
You can not find enough material to upgrade your armor or weapons. When I was in stage 2, I upgraded everything completely, but in stage 3, every time I repeated the mission and killed the enemies, I could not find enough material to upgrade my equipment.
As a result, the third boss was very unfair and difficult and it was like my damage wasn't effective at all, so I cheated to kill it but it was not fun and now I deleted the game.
Thank God I did not buy "The Surge 2".

I played Apex Legends, PUBG, and WARZONE before but this one is the only BR game that I enjoy playing. The gameplay is very fun and fast, you can climb buildings and slide like you are really a vampire in an action movie!

It seemed I was wrong. This game is not fun anymore and I wasted money on the battle pass. I don't know when I have to learn a lesson, Ff#$k me :/

EDIT #1:

After playing about 140 more hours and finishing my first playthrough (YES, it took me around 180 hrs. to finish this masterpiece and I explored every inch of the map, or at least I think I did), I still LOVE this game and I enjoyed every moment of it.

You cannot believe the number of available weapons, incantations, and sorceries in this game. It's incredible and it shows the diligent work of the developers and Hidetaka Miyazaki.

The design of the entire map is mind-blowing in this game. Almost all of the screenshots I took looked like art pieces.

I totally recommend this game even if you are not a Soulsborne fan because after playing this game, you will become a fan!

Definitely deserves the "GAME OF THE YEAR" nomination in the Steam Awards!

I really enjoyed the game. It is VERY fun and addictive.

P.S. Some of the areas in the DLCs, are designed for coop and they are really impossible in solo, and since the servers are down (only God knows 'til when), I strongly recommend skipping those optional areas or you’re gonna hate the game.

This game is a masterpiece. I'd never played any Dark Souls games before, it was difficult but enjoyable at the same time. Each location in the game is designed amazingly and has unique enemies. There are a lot of hidden areas and secret items in the game which I enjoyed finding them. I'm really happy that there are more souls-like games ahead of me which are waiting to kill me!

This game is mind-blowing!
I can't describe enough how fun this game is. EVERYTHING about this game is extremely entertaining and enjoyable. I envy you all who haven't played this game yet, what a wonderful game is ahead of you (◠‿・)—☆

I really don't understand why there is a lot of negative reviews here. Maybe because it's free, people don't like free stuff and always have to pay for something! This game looks amazing and very fun and I really like it.
