Most of the crashes are fixed. I think the simulation speed is slow, but I find now I prefer Cities2 over Cities1. Still hard to give a thumbs up when installing the Japan modpack broke my game for 45min earlier though...

Dota is actually pretty fun, as long as you won't take getting flamed personally. I've been enjoying playing against bots with the Open Hyper AI and Fretbots enabled. The 7.38 and 7.39 changes are good.
