9.30.25 - Originally I had issues trying to get the crafting system to actually work. For some reason it wouldn't allow me to craft a simple knife. That was yesterday. a developer contacted me and I thought OK I'll give it another try; but sadly, what a waste of my time and money!

10.1.25 - Update, I received a notice from a developer and they convinced me that I should give the game another try. It wasn’t working for me yesterday and somehow, magically today. It worked perfectly fine. I will update this review in the near future, as needed.

10.2.25 - Update: I have now wasted nearly an entire hour of my life trying to get this game to work like other survival games, but it does not work that way. There are so many things wrong with this that I don't know where to begin, and as a game developer myself I can tell you; I never would have released this as a complete game. This is garbage. Absolute garbage. I'm not even gonna waste another moment of my life trying to explain why this is trash. I have requested my money back, cause ain't no one got the time for this sh*t!

My advice to the devs, don't give up. You have a beginning of a game, but this is absolutely nowhere near ready for you to start charging money. This game in it's current state is a disaster. Perhaps too late but this never should have been released to the public. It's CRAP!!!

If you're a gamer and a consumer like myself, avoid this garbage... and if you're looking for an actual game that's playable and entertaining, and worth your money, and your time, wait till October 30th and get ARC RAIDERS!!!

I enjoy playing this game however I really dislike the graphics. I recognize that the person, developer making this is working extremely hard, perhaps they should hire a graphics professional cause the graphics are really shabby. The contrast is off, the levels of colors are way too extreme, it's harsh. One would expect this game to be soft and mellow at least in appearance, but that is not the case.

The game play is OK. On a scale from one to 10 about a 7, the incoming attacks could be a little tougher but I'm not playing the game to stress out, I play this particular type of game to relax. I enjoy building cities and managing them. This could be a great game perhaps in the future. Can I recommend it? Yes though do keep in mind that it is an early access and I believe it is being developed by just one person. Again I hope they can find a real graphic artist to assist them on this project. The current graphics are less than optimal.

There are so many things wrong with this as well as a couple of things that are improvements over the previous versions of ANNO... However, It shouldn't take 10 minutes to load a game. You're wasting my time and forcing players to log into the EPIC game store to access the software is total BS and again, a waste of my time. Epic Games has never been a fave of mine or anyone's. Their games are clunky And rarely deserve that triple AAA label, the devs hope to achieve...

While the graphics have improved greatly, the game play is static, old and boring. It took me 10 minutes to load the game another 5 to 10 minutes to get it resolved with the Epic Game Store (update pw, etc), then.... After the game finally loaded I realized, wow this hasn't changed at all. Sure the graphics are different maybe there are one or two things further into the game that makes it worthwhile but I'm not paying these people $60 for a revamped version of basically every annual game available for like 15 bucks. Nice try but I'll pass. I have now removed this from my wish list. It's not worth a dime.

This has potential, however at the moment in its current state I think it lacks luster. It lacks content and quite frankly the graphics are less than optimal. I'm a professional graphic artist and my professional opinion is that it's not well textured at all. The textures lack depth, realism, proper bumps and height maps to enhance the 3D effect and the same can be said for the environment. It's all too flat looking, furthermore ... the shadows are not realistic enough for my personal taste. The game however does have potential and since I happen to be a fan of both Greek and Roman lore/mythology I'm looking forward to seeing how this title develops with time.

This has to be one of the most time consuming games to have ever been made. It's addictive, deep and extensive. Do I recommend it? YES but only if you wish to never get your butt out of that chair again!

After nearly 800 hours in this game, I can confidently say: regardless of what changes are made, it’s a disaster. The blame lies squarely with Funcom, and they have nobody but themselves to hold accountable.

Those of us who purchased the Ultimate Edition expected great things. Instead, we ended up as unpaid beta testers for a company that clearly doesn’t respect its players. To make matters worse, we paid for the privilege.

Funcom should have been honest from the start and released this as an Early Access title. At least then expectations would have been set appropriately. Instead, what we’ve been given is a half-baked experience, wrapped up as a full release, with promises that never live up to delivery.

Funcom is, quite frankly, a terrible company — and this game is living proof of it.

Verdict: Avoid. Save your time, money, and patience.

This is one of those games that I look forward to playing again once the developer gets around to fixing some of the problems. For now this gets a down-vote from me.

This was fun for the first 30+ hours but after a while it really becomes tedious and repetitious. This needs more content, more NPCs, a smarter, more challenging AI, a larger map, a better building system; one where you can NOT accidentally delete your entire base with one click, by accident (yes this will happen) ... and perhaps crisper looking graphics! ~ To me the graphics are dull, boring. they lack realism. It lacks particle effects and lacks a realistic environment. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad; but it's not great. Also it should be much easier to gather resources, specially wood. This is perhaps the most frustrating thing about this game. The amount of time you will spend chopping down wood and then trying to pick up each individual piece One by one. it's not just annoying. It's absolutely unnecessary and frustrating. you will spend 30 seconds cutting down a tree and 30 seconds picking up the goodies from the ground? ONE piece at a time... it's absurd.

The biggest challenge with this game is staying alive, feeding yourself, making sure that you have clean drinking water, and living through the nightly raids, etc... but that's all easily done as you progress. What the game is actually lacking is a smart AI system. The mobs and NPCs are dumb, easily beaten and not much of a challenge once you have proper gear.

I do recommend the game however just be aware it is early access and IMHO it is lacking content... and I'm not really sure why the developers felt the need to throw in a fairy as our sidekick, cause quite frankly it's annoying and not something necessary to progress, etc. I'll give this game a 7 out of 10. It could be better, then again it could be far worse!

Terrific and stress-free fun... Nice change from my usual shoot'em up (survival) games and unlike CS2, this city builder is playable!

I really need to stop trying to support companies who don't care about their products or those of us who buy them... even on sale this is not worth it. It's an abomination of a game and has more problems than I can name. I have requested a refund and strongly suggest you avoid this trash. There are tons of good survival games, this is NOT one of them!
