Very cool game. The characterisations of the gods in a modern age are done very well and all of them are interesting in their own ways.
The musical part of the game is handled well, rather than just being a gimmick or a case of people singing for the sake of singing, it is instead a tool/power that you're using to reveal information/convince people/find the truth etc.

Not an overly long game, but due to the possible choices and paths there is potential for several playthroughs.

Very cute and chill city builder.

I love how the game handles the various housing/citizen levels.

You initially have your peasants and build a nice little rural area with little gardens for each house.

Then the housing system shifts slightly with Commoners. Here you have a main building and can then lay foundations in the area around that building and place your houses and shops anywhere on those foundations and they automatically merge together to look great. You have a lot of freedom here to create cool internal courtyards between the houses for people to move through and for other decorations and buildings.

The last set is your Nobles that all live in the Palace. This again shifts the system slightly, you place down your main palace and then have a bunch of other buildings that either attach to the palace or sit in the grounds around it. Again, a lot of freedom to create cool compounds and gardens within your palace area.

There is still a few buildings to be added and some balancing needed, but overall a very fun experience. You can definitely see the love the developers have for this game and it is on the right track.

I'm enjoying the game much more than CoH2.
The campaign map in single player is a cool addition and has a lot of potential.

Positives:
* Looks great
* Good performance
* Fun campaign with interesting new mechanics

Negatives:
* Sometimes feels a little too zoomed in during battles
* Vehicles often get a little confused and spin in place instead of facing where you would like

Combat is fun and seems to require some variation in your spell usage to counter different enemy types.

Wandering around and exploring is fun, the world generally does feel alive around you.

My biggest annoyance early on was that you could only equip 4 spells at a time and had to keep bringing the spell menu up to swap other utility spells in and out. You eventually can spend Talent points to unlock 3 additional pages/loadouts which solves that mostly.

All of the side quests are interesting by themselves with no basic "go fetch" side quests. Most of them are either introducing you to the various collectible/puzzles in the world or require a little exploration and thought.

Gear is fairly plentiful and you have access to a transmog system from the start which automatically remembers the style of every item you have picked up. So, you can sell stuff freely and always look however you want. Would've been nice if you could set a few "outfits" rather than having to manually go through each gear piece but that's a pretty minor complaint.

You eventually unlock a room that you can decorate freely with items you unlock as you explore the world, and then eventually you can raise and look after various beasts here too. The main purpose of this is to supply materials to upgrade your gear, however, caring for the animals, customising their habitats and just watching them interact with each other is very relaxing.

Overall, the game is very enjoyable and at around 35-40 hours to hit 100% completion the length feels just right.

Fantastic combat and an amazing 40k experience.

It's hard not to compare the game to Vermintide 2, it takes the great melee combat from there and enhances the ranged combat. Having groups of lasgun wielding enemies thrown into the mix forces you to adapt your playstyle and make use of cover, suppression and the other tools in your arsenal.

Do not buy if you're triggered by premium currency cosmetic shops and content being added over time.

Hold off on buying if triggered by post-launch bugs and stability.

An interesting mix of Craft The World and Oxygen Not Included. It doesn't reach anywhere near the level of complexity of Oxygen Not Included though.

The general gameplay loop feels fairly relaxed. Once I had placed my initial production buildings and figured out the basics I never felt particularly challenged. There are odd rats, slimes and other enemies that appear from time to time and as you explore you will come across various enemy holes in the wall to clear. But none of them ever seem to be a threat. There are no organised attacks on your home. This may be something that is changed when the overland diplomacy features are added.

I didn't encounter any majors issues with the AI getting stuck. The handful of times that someone got stuck was usually due to me telling them to do something dumb like digging straight down. In fact, I was quite impressed that the AI actually factors in blocks required for support when digging out large areas and then clears those blocks at the end.

There is definite room for improvement, especially when it comes to QoL items. Being able to track resource totals more easily would be a big help and a bit more depth to the crafting systems to allow more intelligent choices of what materials to use would be nice.

It would also be nice if the dwarves themselves had a bit more character. Each of them belong to one clan or another and have a few traits but ultimately it didn't seem to have any real impact. Deeper social interactions and character flaws would add some nice variety to the game.

Hats and skins are exactly as they appear in the screenshots.
No longer locked behind challenges which is what people requested.

If you like the look of the skins and/or want to throw some money at Fatshark to support them, get the DLC.
If you don't, then don't.

At first glance, it's a L4D clone with some melee combat thrown in.

The reality though, is that the combat is so amazingly well executed that even after 500+ hours I still love wading into combat and it requires every bit of skill to stay alive whilst slashing down hordes of rats, dodging the swings of black rats, quick-switching to your gun to snipe a Globadier before quick-switching back just in time to block the heavy sword swing that was about to decapitate you. Unlike some other similar games that have your running the same mission over and over, this one never feels like you're running on auto-pilot, one ill-timed dodge or block is all it takes to end up face down praying to Sigmar for a revive.

All the additional fluff in the game, the gear, cosmetics, challenges etc are great in their own way. Working through all the challenges for each level and class provides a nice extra incentive and sense of achievement.

Each character class provides a unique way to play and the talents available to each class allow you to customise it to fit with your favourite weapons and play style. If you're the kind that loves to min-max builds, there is a mountain of potential here.

tl:dr - I enjoyed the campaign, the recent patch has made combat less frustrating in terms of ranged enemy spam and impossible hit indicators. I'd still probably wait to grab it in a sale though.

Pros
* I love the story, and the interaction of Ms Marvel with the other Avengers
* All of the characters feel different enough to enjoy playing without feeling like you're doing the same moves with a different skin
* Everything looks amazing, and you feel awesome when you destroy groups of enemies and start unleashing your heroic abilities
* The combat is challenging, it is loosely comparable to the Arkham style, with enemies using different coloured attacks that require either dodging or blocking/parrying. The big difference is that it is a lot faster. Enemies will not wait their turn and will happily dog pile you, or snipe you with rockets and lasers whilst you're busy pounding their buddies. The hit indicators are also very strict, you often have a fraction of a second to hit the dodge or block buttons before they land.

Cons
* There are a bunch of bugs in the game, most are just odd to see but there are few that will kill a mission, such as AI companions refusing to revive you because you're on a ledge 2ft above them
* The matchmaking/multiplayer needs work. I may be wrong on this, but it seems that you can only join games before they launch into a mission. This means that either everyone has to sit in the lobby matchmaking, with no idea if anyone else is even playing the same mission. Or just steam ahead with AI companions with zero chance of anyone else joining. Allowing people the option to join missions in progress would help solve this, a simple pop-up or option that there is a mission in progress you can join when selecting the mission would be fine
* Combat indicators don't feel perfect. As mentioned above, when in combat you typically have a number of ranged enemies firing at you. A lot of these attacks are lasers or other insta-hit abilities and most of the time, there is no warning indicator for it. Making it a very frustrating experience when you're trading blows with 3 guys, expertly dodging and parrying, and a rocket slams into your back wiping out half your healthRecent patch seems to have sorted this, I feel like I'm dodging and blocking attacks much more consistently now.
* Which leads to my next point, ranged enemies need some tweaking. At the start of most large fights, there will typically be 5-6 turrets firing bullets, lasers or rockets at you. A similar number of ranged guys doing the same, with the addition of elemental attacks that will freeze you in place, or drain your heroic energy, and then a group of melee guys (who also typically have some heavy ranged attacks). This means that a lot of the time, the early stages of a fight involve running in circles behind cover whilst you pick off the turrets and ranged guys as quickly as possible, which just feels really out of character. Some kind of balance needs to be added here. This issue is most noticeable when playing Solo, as the AI companions don't tend to draw aggro, I imagine when playing with others having Iron Man or similar focusing on neutralising the ranged threats whilst the heavy hitters jump in the melee would probably work ok as it is Recent patch has made this much better. Ranged enemies are "less aggressive". Feels like the projectiles move a tiny bit slower.
* You have to salvage each piece of gear individually. I don't understand why every single game of this type releases without a way to mark items as junk and mass-salvage and then patches it in later
