Nothing gets close, no mods needed to have an excellent experience. Very active development, updates every couple of months with great improvements and new content.

This is not for everyone. Requires too much time and dedication.

Very ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ expensive.

Ranking system works, if you dedicate yourself to become faster, you will race in better and faster lobbies; if not, you will always be stuck in crappy wreck-full races.

iRacing has the best multiplayer racing hands-down, absolutely no competitor. (waiting to see if rFactor2 gets its ♥♥♥♥ together)

If money is a deal-breaker, go for Assetto Corsa (both games); if not, I really recommend this game.
