If you read the description of the mod it explains how this can be avoided. But with being a human there is no way I could add a respawn feature. Since technically it functions as the human player being infected by carrion. This means when the human dies it flicks to the carrion. However, there are no carrion player entities in the level. If there was a carrion player it would make it impossible for the player to start as a human.
