Honestly, this game is pretty fun to mess around with but it is not $9.99 fun, its more like $1.99 fun. Game is best experienced with friends.

Honestly, this game is more of a spend a couple of hours with friends for a night then never touch it again. I still however reccomend it because it is fun to play. But get it on sale, seriously.

Dirty Bomb is a free to play multiplayer FPS game, but you already knew that, it says it on the store page.

My experience with Dirty Bomb is as follows. I was introduced by a friend who picked up the game and played it shortly. Although he quit the game soon after, he did have time to introduce me to it and I kinda liked it. Loving the free to play aspect and jump in jump out casual gameplay, I kept the game in my back pocket for a couple of months when I wanted to mess around. During one of my once a couple of weeks Dirty Bomb play sessions I was gifted with experiencing a thrilling close quarters assault on an objective. With teamates coordinating attacks and using the different classes their best ability, we were able to win the game. I was hooked. By being in a match that was actually competitive my eyes opened to the potential this game had. Grinding away at credits, I was able to purchase some characters, called mercs, and aquire cards for them. This process was long and tiring though, buying mercs with in game credits was possible, but buying them with real money is so much easier. However, it did delight me to realize that everything a paying player could buy could be accessed by a non paying user. This game does free to play well, I never experienced an event where I thought to myself that I could be better by spending money. After aquiring some new mercs and playing seriously for a good month I slowly realized that intense competitive play was rare, people didnt work as a team and everyone played how they wanted to play. Reaching out to others, I found out that there are a community of serious players who set up compeitive games where everyone is experienced and works as a team. These games, called pugs, pitted me against players who were very, very good in both skill and tatical decision. Imagine these as CSGO competitive matches, except community run. Slowly, these matches became my favorite way of playing the game because of the competitive enviorment.

Overall I reccomend this game because it is truly free to play, has active developers, and a vibrant community. It lacks however in a good tutorial, leaving new players in a bad position for success. Learning this game is hard and only a really dedicated player can do it.
