Keep your head in the clouds

There's something captivating about getting lost in the clouds in your airship. Seeing distant, massive lands and wondering what could possibly be waiting to be discovered.

I'm going to keep it short and sweet. Everwind is launching in great shape. The gameplay, graphics, and the sense of exploration are all fantastic.

As you level, the game world really starts to open itself up to you. The higher you rise, the more dangerous and complex the world becomes. Going from low level encampments to being lost in a massive multi layered underground dungeon complex floating thousands of feet above sea level is an incredible experience.

All I know is that I need to keep going up.

Solid foundation

The developer of PIT OF GOBLIN was kind enough to give me a key, and I have to say- this game is really fun! I've been learning the game through trial and error, and if you're a fan of Lethal company, Peak, R.E.P.O, and Goblins- you're going to have a great time!

Looking forward to future updates and shenanigans!

After how bad Chapter 4 was, with its shocking plethora of bugs and poor quality- I'm pleased to say that Poppy Playtime chapter 5 is great.

The ONLY negative I can say is that a chase that occurs late game had a few bugs that caused me to get killed over and over and over- to a point where I feel some may find it frustrating. It was a minor setback in an otherwise excellent experience.

I'm hopeful that Mob Entertainment will stick the landing with the next installment... in a year :')

Move over Stanley Parable, there's a new narrator in town

Ragdoll Physics is a lot of things. A spiritual successor to the Stanley Parable. A game about a toaster. A Love letter to Portal. It's also a launchpad for the developers surprisingly incredible music. I'm not kidding- its genuinely shocking to think they are this talented with their single "Test on me". Are they developers? Are they Musicians? Will I ever be connected to a phone support agent?

While I wrestle with my myriad of questions, I implore you to do one thing. Pick up this game, and claim your free boat.

Enjoyable, buy on Sale

Reanimal is a visually interesting, fun, and at times scary experience. I enjoyed my time with it, and I think that with COOP you and a friend will have a great time.

However

I completed Reanimal in 3 hrs 36 min (with breaks). This is a VERY short game, and frankly I cannot recommend dropping $40 + on a game that is this short. Times are tough fiscally, and it's important to consider how far your dollar will go in the games you buy.

I will concede that this short duration should be expected, as these developers do have a history of short, stunning games (Little Nightmares 1 and 2)

On a sale, this game is a great pickup. Off sale, I'd have to suggest holding off.

I really enjoyed stumbling around the weird and interesting world these devs have sculpted, but I wasn't super impressed with the "story". The ending felt mediocre and ultimately didn't make a TON of sense- but then again, this is a world where nothing really makes sense. I learned nothing and I'm ok with that.

I'd like to see these devs create a cohesive story that lasts for more than 3.5 hrs. I think that they are excellent at building these strange and unique worlds- I want to spend more time in them.

A true spiritual successor to Telltale games

Incredible

Incredible is the only word I can use that comes close to describing this experience. The Writing, Voice Acting, and Animations are all incredible.

2025 gave us Incredible games such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Hollow Knight Silksong, and Hades II. Dispatch has more than earned its place amongst them.

AdHoc Studio deserves the praise- They did an incredible job.

Hades 2 is better than Hades 1 in nearly every possible way.

Supergiant really hit a homerun with this, but I will say that the ending is really unsatisfying for me personally.

My Full opinion: (spoilers) You spend the entire game with Mel working her way up to destroy Chronos, only for Zag to put everything at risk when victory was guaranteed. He effectively undoes everything Mel did, which feels really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ honestly. Mel deserved to finish the fight, and Zag took that choice away from her. Supergiant should at least have not rushed everything at the end- its just really unsatisfying to see all the time I put into this title be for nothing.

Silent Hill f for respect


The Visuals are stunning, the Performance is silky smooth, and the story is compelling.

The F must stand for respect to the franchise, because so far, this game is great!

My Experience has been negative, but the game isn't bad

I've given Death Stranding a fair shake, but at nearly 16 hours I'm most likely done

The story Death Stranding is trying to tell is very compelling, but its fractured into tiny segments you rarely get to see between literal hours of monotonous gameplay. From my perspective, this feels like a method to artificially inflate the game time needed to complete the game. It feels like the main story is really short, so they had to "fill in" the gaps.

The "core" gameplay mechanic is interesting, but marred by the at-times frustratingly janky movement. If I start to vault a small rock, why would I randomly nose dive into it? Or why is my character picking up loose boxes during combat when I'm trying to aim and fire my weapon at an enemy? Or why is the heavily used hand to hand combat so barebones?

Theres a character you meet early on who just seems to exist to give the player exposition. And it gets really frustrating at points when he straight up tells you things you're already aware of. Someone cuts out on a comm link? He'll patch in to tell you they cut out. Like, just trust that the player is smart enough to understand when a comm link is cut off. It feels asinine at times.

Anyway, that's my own personal take. I powered through nearly 16 hrs of this, and I think I'm just gonna watch the cutscenes on youtube. It's hard to stay invested in the story when I get maybe 20 minutes of actual story in 16 hrs.

Why am I giving this a positive score?

The game isn't bad. It's just an acquired taste. Maybe you're someone that doesn't mind repetitive gameplay that moves the story along at a snails pace. That's totally valid. I gave this game a fair shake, and at the end of Chapter 3, I'm kinda done with it. I will say the side stories are pretty weak, so if you're here for the story, stick with the main one.

Abiotic Factor should be the gold standard for what players should expect when playing a survival game.

It blends Half Life, SCP, survival crafting, etc incredibly well.

Each new area you unlock is somehow larger, and filled with even more content than the last. I never felt bored with what the game had to offer, and I finished my first run after over 100 hours of playtime.

The only negative about this game is the incredibly lackluster ending. It is both dissatisfying, and a complete slog to go through. Uninspired boss fight that takes way too long to get through, where its just the same thing over and over and over and over again. I should also mention that the game (not so subtly) "hints" at a character not being who they say they are over the course of the game, and then by the end, they just tell you the "twist" randomly with no payoff and no surprise.

If the game stuck the ending properly, I'd give Abiotic Factor a 10/10. I heard the devs plan to expand/potentially change the ending, so hopefully they do. It's really bad.

Even with the ending being so poorly done, I'd still give this game a 9/10. The Devs are great, their pricing is generous, and the amount of content in this game can easily entertain you for dozens if not hundreds of hours. It nails pretty much everything but the ending.
