I honestly really loved this game the mix of both the re7/8 and the re2/4 remake gameplay is amazing! They have added all the best parts of both and the game still has some nice puzzles and secrets n things. The game looks absolutely incredible too with path tracing looking even better again. Only issue I have with the game is some of the settings are so confusing for no reason and no way to change fov and turn of film grain so your forced to have it on at all times. No wesker bossfight sadge :( But overall an incredible game one of the best evil residents of all time!

but fr how does it look worse than their previous game that literally came out 9 years ago and this game is identical to the playtests I played back in February literally nothing has changed except performance is better

This game is an amazing coop shooter you can play with friends with tons of cinematic moments and is extremely fun to play and blow things up and spread managed democracy the only issue is the games updates are not always handled well and there have been a fair few updates that missed the mark or were just out right bad decisions with what was involved. It some of the most incredibly high highs and some of the lowest lows but it way more highs than lows so its a great game overall just could be handled quite a bit better.

The Visuals:
The visuals jaw dropping there are many moments that have just insane views like when you first exit the cave in the DLC and see the Scadutree and the surrounding environment they know how to make really compelling and interesting environments. Enemy design is really cool they all have really cool designs including the bosses like the lion and messmer.

The Gameplay:
Its more of Elden Ring but a lot harder but still not unfairly hard. The difficulty is pretty standard for their DLC as they like to make their DLCs more difficult than the base game. The reason why its more difficult is because the amount of damage you receive and deal is DIRECTLY tied to the Scadutree fragments if you have a low Scadutree level your gonna have a more difficult time, you can get up to 20 Scadutree levels. Its literally the equivalent of upgrading your flasks and weapons but with a different resource and each level actually has a noticeable improvement every time you upgrade it so it feels like it matters to explore the amazing open world to look for these. If you are having trouble fighting the bosses there are still summons you can use its not cheating its part of the game. For example the lion boss fight I found incredible difficult so after I beat him I went back on another character I had at the same level and tested to see how much easier it would be if I used summons and no joke a mimic tear and the other NPC summon you can use outside the door to the boss arena could literally defeat the boss for you without you having to attack it or get very close to defeating it on their own while you just watch. The difficulty is literally up to the player if you want to have a hard time don't summon if you want to play and have a easier time look for Scadutree fragments and use summons and improve your defence having like 30 damage negation is going to make you have a bad time, If you use decent armour, defence talismans and boiled crab you can get like 80% damage negation, it literally makes them go from hitting you with a road roller to tickling you.

Performance:
For me I have a pretty average build a rtx 3060, 16GB ram and a r5 5600x its literally like the most average PC build on steam in 2023/4 (according to steam hardware survey) and I run the game at max settings at 60fps no issues for me at least but if you are having performance issues check to see if your PC is running as stable as possible as it can cause stuttering and inconsistent frame times. I have had similar issues for other games where they would cause my PC to be more unstable and stutter by improving stability it can help improve stutter but the developers can also do more to help make the software run better as well.

The game has incredible graphics, Amazing story and gameplay that feels like there is weight behind every action you do but not to the point where it gets in the way.
