Essentially, HL2: Lost Coast is a demo for Valve's (at the time) new HDR effects for the Source Engine.
The game is pretty short, around 15mins or less. You have the option of enabling commentary at the start, where developers talk about the challenges they experienced when coding the effects and how they overcame them.
However, I suggest first playing through, and then replaying with commentary on. The game is one chapter long with 15 commentary nodes. Have fun (Y)

Can't even get pass the first 2 secs after pressing "New" from the launch menu, and no refund is provided. So basically I paid to play the launch menu. Awesome.....
