After mulling over my previous review, I don't feel it highlighted how much I absolutely ADORE this game. This game is an indie masterpiece, and I mean that wholeheartedly. This game, paired with the years of desire to do it anyway, is what inspired me to go to school and pursue a career I had been teetering on for so long.

ACTUAL REVIEW
It's fun. It's retro. It's unique as hell. The world and lore are engrossing, and I legitimately played this game for 14 hours straight. There's an absurd amount of freedom in side content, wherein you CAN just straight up pursue the main quest and be done pretty fast. But taking into account the exploration, quests, abilities, and levels you'll miss doing that? Certainly not worth it. The real uniqueness shines in combat- Time moves when you move, and your magic spells cost life force. Whether or not that life force is your own is up to you, and there are consequences for being selfish. The story is run of the mill save the world, with some wrenches thrown in- and it works excellently. The environments and enemies you fight are varied, and every beat of the story feels like it takes place somewhere new. The ending is variable I believe, and the one I got was innately satisfying. Very few pieces of media will leave me with a feeling of contentedness, and I'm happy I was able to experience this one.
