All the memes and the jokes aside, Helldivers 2 is such a good game...
No battle pass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, no microtransactions, no OP premium weapons, nothing...
It is just an awesome game, with solid mechanics, rich lore, beautiful graphics and adrenaline pumping action.
If you like PvE shooter games, Helldivers 2 is one of the best if not absolutely the best one out there at the moment.
At $30 at the moment of writing, it is worth every penny.
So suit up, Helldiver, Mavalon Creek needs you!

I wanted to love FM8 so bad. I wanted it to be a serious GT7 competitor.

The car leveling system is ok in my opinion, and the career mode is fine. I very rarely play multiplayer, so not an issue for me. Controls seem fine, especially on joystick, and cars feel fine, but a bit slidey, even FWD ones. Mechanically it's an ok game...

But I can't give it a good review until they fix the damn performance issues. The game SHOULD NOT STRUGGLE TO RUN AT 60 FPS on a 1080p monitor, on a RTX 3080 and an i7 10700. It is atrocious! And no matter if the game runs on Ultra or Low, there are constant frame dips with low resource use!

I repeat, DO NOT BUY this game until these issues are fixed. If/when they are fixed, I will change my review.

This game is fun. Extremely fun. But there are two major caveats:

1. This game isn't free. I mean it is free, and there is no paywall at all, and you can "finish" the entire game without spending a single cent, BUT it will take a LOOOOONG time. Or you could buy a couple of premium vehicles from your favorite nation, and make the game a lot more enjoyable.
To be clear, premium vehicles don't have an advantage in combat. They just gain you 100% more XP at the end of the match. Also having a premium account also helps the grind a lot.

2. The game is a roller coaster of "enjoyment". At the beginning, the game is very boring, with crappy tanks and biplanes.
Then it quickly becomes fun at the 2.0 - 3.0 rating, where you start getting into the early good WW2 vehicles.
Then it starts becoming more and more tedious and crap around the 5.0 rating, where the propeller planes are too fast and fragile for their own good and tanks are too armored, and it is very hard to damage with their "old" type projectiles.
Then it starts becoming a lot more fun again around 7.0, where you finally get into jets for airplanes and cold-war tanks, with rockets and modern era projectiles, that can kill in one hit.
Then it starts getting annoying and un-enjoyable again, around the 9.0 rating again, where planes get really good guided rockets and you just get killed out of nowhere from 6 km away, and tanks start getting heat-vision cameras, guided rockets and reactive armor.
And finally you get to top tier, where it's 50/50 whether it is enjoyable or not, depending 100% on your team.

So, as a conclusion, the game is fun, it has its ups and downs, it's not pay-to-win, and it is worth your time. Just try to reach at least rank 2 or rank 3 before you decide if you like it or not. Rank 1 is not representative of the game.

TL;DR: Game is fun, but it is not free. You either pay with money or your soul.

You wrap your car around a random tree and torn it into a metal pringle.
You contemplate life and your driving skills.
You press R and do it again.

Best casual / racing driving game on the market. 11/10

This is my life now. Played in the browser for years, now playing the steam version with amazing music by C418.
If you want something to do in the background, that requires attention from time to time, that is relaxing, this is the game for you.

Now excuse me, I have to go back to my cookies...

Are you really freaking bored? Do you want to see the world, but don't want to go outside cause that's expensive and there's other people out there? Do you like driving? Then this game is for you. Map expansion DLCs are a must tho...

It's like real life. You can try your best to create a nice city, but people will still complain on Tweeter. 11/10 Would recommend,

One of the most action-packed, over the top, amazing games i have ever played. If you like The Binding of Isaac and would like to make it more like Dark Souls, this is the game for you!

Like football, but with cars, and much more entertaining.
