A true classic

Monetisation scheme is a bit shocking if you have the first game as they just port dirt rally 1.0 tracks and call it dlc but its a very solid sim for rally

A fun little puzzle game I used to play when I was young

The cars are much more predictable than dirt rally (playing on sim handling), but then again I never really played with the set ups in dirt rally, but the stock settup was horrible which forced me to do some tuning. The sliders tell you the effect it will have on handling which is nice but some probably need a more indepth description.

You start off in a fwd car and after that I was starting to question my purchase as it drove horribly but then I got to set up the next car how I liked and wow, it was perfect, I got a ford fiester sliding around the corners rather than understeering into a tree. I was supprized how nice the car was to drive as I tend to hate fwd. Even on tough the start of the game is too easy, I would often have a 20sec lead at the end of an event except damned whales.

I feel like expectation from the previous game crushed this game. Most of the negative responses being about the handling and some about ffb. I haven't tested on my wheel yet but it's really good on a game pad. Alot of complaints about not being able to oversteer but thats just because of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ set ups in my experience, they need a bit of tinkering to get it how you like it. Once you stiffen the rear roll bar some and soften the front it does wonds then run toe out on the rear, toe in on the front (works well in fwd and awd dk about rwd yet).

co driver calls can be a bit iffy at time, to late or too early etc even though i have it on early the hairpins sometimes get called abit late.

Would definitely recommend on 50% off like I got it, possibly even full price but I never buy stuff full price.

An amazing 80s action style movie 11/10

I have had this game since before it came onto steam, back then the developement was pretty slow with only one a team of around 8, since, the team has grown heaps, the developement of vehcles has picked up hugely,

Along with the official content there is plenty of mods, though I can't say that much of the modding of this game is easy due to the complexity of its soft body physics engine. When you get your head around it, its fun to piss about with the cars like put really wide wheels on a impressa equivelent vehicle, add a huge wing and give it an ridiculiously powerful motor.

But by far the best is the soft body physics which contines to improve. It's satisfying to know that the stunt you just did was probably bloody accurate, and when you just feel like wrecking cars or watching your car crumple when you drive far too fast.

This game has capiblities far beyond cars, it'll be interesting what the future holds for a physics engine like this.

only problem for most people as there is little to no campain, with only a few vanila senarios, which are check point races, this will be built on later but its sill early in developement.
