As a previous player of the original, I can emphatically say that I still love the concept, and within 20 minutes of my first playthrough, I was just as amazed as when I played the first time, many years ago. If you enjoyed the original, especially those who went through and found every possible story path/ending, it is totally worth buying this game again. Anyone who has not played before, BUY THIS GAME. It is a loop type game, but such a good allegory of the concept of free will. 9 out of 10 Eff yeahs!

intricate, well written, interwoven quest lines really bring this game to life.

Black Mesa retains the entirety of what made Half-Life so special. The faithfulness to how the original plays, especially while going through some of the scripted sequences and puzzles, is astounding. Seeing a favorite from the 90's remade in such a way is an example to any other group looking to recreate an older title by today's standards.

Fantastic Game, Reminds me of Flower on the Sony console.
