I’ve been playing this game since 2005, and it was a huge part of my childhood joy. However, this version has left me utterly disappointed. The absence of a random map generator forces players into fixed maps, while numerous bizarre issues have stripped away the openness and randomness that defined the original. At the same time, the loss of add-on campaign Armageddon's Blade and Shadow of Death really kills the most interesting part. I strongly do not recommend this version. And to Ubisoft: you lost the source code and still pushed out such a hollow product? This is downright disgraceful.

If you really want to enjoy the authentic Hero III , I firmly recommend the HotA(Horn of the Abyss) fan version-it's everything Ubisoft's HD edition should have been.
