I see a lot of people whining about the dlc and the bad localization, but I'm honestly not bothered by it
From what I can tell, as of the game's release, there's no content in the dlc that you can't earn by PLAYING THE GAME. Sure, it's tedious and kind of grindy, but I've honestly just come to expect that from games where content is locked behind in-game currency.
As for the localization... let's just say that Bushiroad doesn't exactly have the strongest track record in the subject. Admittedly, this sample is probably the worst of their English localization I've seen yet, but... I don't exactly have any expectations at this point. If I can get the gist, it's good enough for me.
For new people, however, the bad localization can be extremely off-putting, especially for the fairly steep price. Combine that with the weird AI functionality, and people who are trying to learn the game for the first time will probably not enjoy themselves.
Speaking of the AI, I feel like it's best used for figuring out how a deck works, specifically fighting against them on the easy difficulty.
All in all, I feel like this is mainly designed for people who already know how to play the game in general to have an official online format to do pvp, with a pve method of getting the cards to build your deck and figure out other decks without fighting other people while learning a new deck

Let's get something straight here: this is a fantastic game. But the reason I can't recommend it is because of how unoptimized the update process is. A 5 GB update takes nearly 2 hours to install if you're lucky enough to have it install at all without freezing or breaking during that period, and there's absolutely no reason that it should. I've seen larger updates to larger programs take less than a quarter of that time to update, and that's being generous. And from what I can tell, this has been a problem practically since the game's release give or take 7 years ago.
Here's what I know about the problem. First, the game's files are scattered practically all over your computer, and switching directories a large number of times slows down the process, more so when the directories are farther apart. Second, the update goes through every file in the game and checks to see if that one needs to be updated before continuing instead of just replacing the old files/adding the new files.
If Zenimax actually pulls themselves together and fixes the game's biggest and oldest problem, I'll happily write a positive review, but I just can't the way the game is now.

Invertmouse did a pretty good job making a sequel, though the play style's very different.

Visuals:
The visuals are more satisfying to look at, and their art has improved quite a bit!

Voice Acting:
They didn't include voice acting in this one. :(

Characters:
They're meh at best. None of the characters jumped out to me as being fantastic, but it's nice to see old characters come back, though the story's not focused on them. I don't really like how they make the Creator seem like a heartless jerk, and I also don't really care for the antagonist at all.

Story:
It has a good premise, but I feel like it was cut short. It had a good start, but the plot twist (which admittedly I didn't see coming at all) made the antagonist seem kind of pathetic, given that you didn't have much time with them.

Gameplay:
This one takes a much more VN approach than the former did, being primarily in that format than the story being told as you progressed in the puzzles. There are still puzzles in this game, but I was kind of disappointed that they were turn based instead of real time, which is something I enjoyed about the puzzles in the first game.

Music:
The music's pretty alright. If you liked the music in the first game, you'll like the music in this one as well.

Conclusion:
The game is meh overall, but it's good for the price. While I don't see myself coming back to this game, it's good if you're looking for something short-medium length that's not very expensive.

I died way more than I care to admit

Visuals:
The art's pretty good, considering this is aiueo konpany's first work. Only two of the CGs strike my as a bit awkward, but I can live with them just fine.

Characters:
Most of the characters are developed enough to care about, though the antagonist(s) change SIGNIFICANTLY depending on which of the major routes you take, and I don't think the version added in the steam release is very good.

Story:
There are two major routes with two versions each (and a LOT of opportunities to die). There's the Himeno/Princess of Drop endings, and there's the fall into poison/The limited ocean of the life endings. Personally, I think the former two make MUCH more sense, and leave everything with fewer plot holes, though it's also satisfying to save Sayo in the later two, and I wish you could save her in the former as well.

Translations:
I'm bad at kanji, so this was tough for me without voice acting, but from was I COULD read, they're fairly accurate, and mostly read naturally.

Music:
The music is excellent, and I plan on buying a copy of the soundtrack to listen to. On a vaguely related note, you could do a great mv using the song Deep Sea Girl having Sayo at the center of it. I'd do it myself, but I can neither draw nor animate so.

Conclusion:
I highly recommend this game. Even if you've played aiueo konpany's second game "Fatal Twelve" first (like me), this VN holds up very well and is enjoyable.

This has a fantastic amount of potential. What's already here is very well polished. As a DM, this is a fantastic tool for designing towns/small cities for my game, though I'd like to see some extra skins available to make the structures feel better suited to the theme of the game, but it works anyway with enough imagination. On a similar note, it would be nice to have some terrain options other than just water and cobblestones, like being able to place down grass or dirt.

The only other thing I'd like to see is some options for the placement map. It works VERY well for giving some organic-looking building placement, but when building, say, walls, it would be nice to have an option to have a regular shape, or being able to create an identical shape multiple times in various sizes.

But with all that said, this is still a wonderful tool as is, and I look forward to using it to make more towns/cities in the future!

This game tried. It tried so damn hard.

Visuals:
There's only a few issues with the art, and you may not notice them if you don't look too closely.

Voice Acting:
There are a number of instances where the spoken lines don't entirely match what's on the text.

Characters:
They were a bit generic, but I enjoyed interacting with them. The only down side was the lack of naming convention. I found it to be a bit off-setting.

Story:
The story couldn't decide just how serious it wanted to be. Most of the game is happy, light moments, but there are a number of jumps into deep seriousness.

Comedy:
I thoroughly enjoyed the comedy. Every single one of the jokes landed with me, even the ones that were supposed to be cringy. Is that a sign that I'm getting old?

Music:
A simple, small selection that gets the mood across. I like it.

Conclusion:
This game is shaky at best, and the endings are rather abrupt. I enjoyed playing it, but I can't see myself playing it again.

This is a fun little game. Kind of short, but fun.

Visuals:
There's a little awkwardness in the sprites, but they're okay. The rest of the game visuals are better, and that's usually what you're focusing on anyway.

Voice Acting:
The voices are a bit awkward. There are awkward pauses, and sometimes their tone seems a little strange for what they're saying. It's definitely not the strong suit of this game.

Characters:
I'd have liked to have more time with the characters, as the game seemed to move a little fast. The characters had different personalities, but kind of started to feel the same after a while.

Story:
The story's okay. It didn't really wow me in any way, but I started to feel bad at the end, so it gets some points there.

Comedy:
There was a lot of comedy in this game, and it was clearly (at least to me it was) inspired by what you find in anime. They voice acting added to some, and took away from others. If you enjoy this kind of humor, it's going to be really funny, but I personally wasn't drawn to it.

Gameplay:
The gameplay's simplistic, but I think that's a good thing. It plays in a way that's simple to get the hang of, but it still manages to provide a challenge later in the game.

Music:
I think the music is the best part of the game. It acts as a decent background drone that matches the overall tone of the game. I think the only possible improvement that could be made is better transitions. The music seems to suddenly shift, and it's kind of off putting.

Conclusion:
It's not great, but it's fun. The DLC adds a short backstory, that helps you understand A2 a little more, but I think is too short to have much of an emotional impact, though the same can be said for the main game as well. Can't see myself playing it more, but I'm glad I played it the one time.

I played this one through again recently, and I'd have to say it holds up well.

Visuals:
The art is fantastically well done, and while there are a few sprites that look somewhat awkward, I think it overall adds to the mood.

Voice Acting:
N/A

Characters:
Chiche, but distinct from each other. They all have their own flaws and backgrounds that make them feel distinct.

Story:
While the story as a whole may not be entirely original, it twisted things in just the right ways to make it work. I enjoyed it on both playthroughs.

Comedy:
I could be wrong, but I only really noticed a single instance of comedy in the game, and it flowed well as part of the normal conversation.

Music:
A nice, catchy tune and variations. It's well done.

Conclusion:
Don't play this game if you can't do horror, either psychological or gore. That said, it's still a fantastic game with many aspects done extremely well.

This is a cute little game that could more or less serve as an introduction to visual novels for people who haven't played ones before, especially being free. If you enjoyed this one and want to continue the story, Carpe Diem: Reboot tells a great story that may be enjoyed by people who liked this one.

Visuals:
The graphics are pretty nice. With the 2020 update, they add a nicer feel to the game, and make it seem a little better than it was prior.

Voice Acting:
There is no voice acting in this Vis Nov

Characters:
Ai is a pretty cute character, and you get to know her a little if you pay attention.
I've seen a lot of reviews comment on this, so I figured I'd put my input on it as well. While the name 'Ai' could be read as AI, Ai is a common Japanese name meaning 'Love,' and with the little context in this game alone, could be a perfectly valid name.

Story:
Short, sweet, and to the point. It follows the 'cute' theme that I noticed through the whole game.

Comedy:
There's not a whole lot of comedy, but it's played in a natural way. If you're picky about your comedy like I am, I wouldn't get this game for the comedy.

Music:
It's not fantastic, but it gets the idea across, and doesn't get annoying.

Conclusion:
This is a cute little vis nov that I recommend for people who are new to vis novs, kind of like a trial, or dipping your toes in. The sequel is better in every regard, and isn't expensive. If this one peaked your interest, I'd recommend spending the $6 to get it.

This game kicked my heart in the d***. Every. Single. Time.

With that said, let's break it down.
Visuals:
There's a good amount of visuals here, given the number of characters in the game. Some stunning, some sad, but all are good.

Voice Acting:
They have a good pool of talent, I thought until they started crying. I'm not entirely convinced that most of the VAs know how to cry, but that's the only bad thing I have to say about them. Well, that and pain. They're not good at that either. Apart from that, they're believable, and play their roles extremely well.

Characters:
There are only 2 characters in the game you don't really get to know, but all the rest of them are fantastic. They all have dynamic personalities, and they're all unique, though a number of them do follow certain tropes. The game gives you a reason to care about all of them, which makes it all the more impactful when you go further into the game.

Story:
You get pretty early on that it's about survival, and this seems to be a common theme through the game. The characters all have a reason for wanting to survive, and the more you learn about them, the more you feel bad for them. But the particular way the story is presented is somewhat unique. The setting's different enough from what you'd normally see, and everything presented to the player has a role in the story, be it the main story, or one of the side stories.

Comedy:
The game doesn't have a big focus on comedy, so there aren't many hard jokes in the text. Which is why when they did include a bit of comedy, they made it feel natural and not out of place, which I've noticed many visual novels struggle with. It makes the humor all the more funny.

Translations:
Ah, Sekai Project. As always, there are a number of things I disagree with translationally, but most aren't with the technical bits of information. They're mostly in the speaking habits of characters you regularly see, but they stick with the speech patterns they use, so if you don't know Japanese, you probably won't notice. But I will say, they did a fantastic job translating keigo so that it seems uncomfortable and out of place when a character suddenly starts using it for no reason.
As per usual, they have a few typos in the text. I counted 4 this time, but this was such an emotional roller coaster, that I may have miscounted by 1 or 2 (English, of course. I can't vouch for the Chinese translations)

Music:
They have a lot of music, but they don't always play it at the right times, and I think that's the only thing keeping me from saying that I enjoyed the soundtrack. There were times that they should have played something sadder to fit the mood, but continued the intense music instead. While this wasn't actually that common, it still left that impression on me. It did have it's moments, however. Pieces like "Rinka" and "The Girl's Song" were reserved for very particular instances, and were much more impactful as a result. Their use of silence was also impactful, again because it wasn't used very often. I found that the silence weighed in to the emotion of what the character was saying more than when there was music behind it.
In short, it had a good soundtrack, but I'm inclined to not think that due to the overall use through the game.

Conclusion:
While there aren't that many choices in the game, they still lead you to enjoy the story as if they were natural, and most of the choices effect the entire course of the story. It's a fantastically told story with 7 very different results that will all pull at your heartstrings. I definitely recommend this game.

Personally, I got the "Fatal Twelve" ending, which I believe to be the true end.
As for the others (and going off my beliefs), you have "Future," the good end, "Like a Dream World," the happy end, and 4 bad ends, that all share that title. With all of these, "What is Your Purpose" is the only unsatisfying ending, but you may not understand what happened in the other bad ends if you didn't get the good ends first.

I 100% it in 31 hours, but I skipped text I had already seen on following playthroughs, so you could spend much more, or much less time in it. My first playthrough was about 25ish hours, so that gives you an idea on how much time you would spend in each, though many of the bad ends are shorter.

In short:
Play it and prepare to cry
