How to Start an Internet Meme

Have an idea. Be inspired by other memes. For example, "i think x is a pretty cool guy, eh y's and doesn't afraid of anything" was started by a poorly written 4chan thread.[1] Basically, you're looking for a phrase like "so I herd you like mudkipz" or "this is not my lol face."
For example, you can generally get ideas from sources by watching old episodes of Pokémon, Power Rangers, etc. - generally things people won't admit to watching anymore.
Not all memes are copypasta. In fact, many memes exist as image macros - such as Lolcats, which are image macros of cats.

Find a picture that reflects what you want to imply. Just enter words into Google images until you find something that matches up. If you can't find anything, try changing the phrase or give up on that idea and get a new one.
Be careful, as a lot of images on the internet are copyrighted. Be sure to obey copyright laws and have your work fall under fair use.

Now this is where the skill comes in. Many memes start on 4chan. However, 4chan is for ages 18 and up, so you may have to go onto another site like it, or onto a forum. You need to post it where it can get a lot of attention and views. A good subtle approach could be to relevantly slip it in a few of your posts on an internet forum that you're a regular on.

What? You think you can just THROW memes out there? No. Memeing is an art. It has to be mastered over years of diligence and training. No one can just throw a meme out there with no context, or with no regards to the applicability of the situation. You sir have disappointed the internet as a whole, and I suggest you go find a place to hide out and come back when you've mastered your memeing responsibly.

So one day my nacful self was in a small team with my not so nacful friends the teams name was shred. This was my home at the time i enjoyed it. Then one day on BO2 i met a nacaliscious friend named Lanzui and he was in Despize. He then added me and we started playing more often. I thought in deep down in my nacful heart I CAN JOIN DESPIZE! As i started hitting more nacs one nac caught a Despize leaders eye a USR titty nac. that one nac changed my life forever. i then started playing different games like the nac god himself, Paco. I hit a couple oh nice nacs but my hard work wasn't appreciated. I then became inactive and my Despize career ended. Now to this day I am still hitting just as many nacs. I believed in myself.
