From the visuals to the game play to the features, its clear this company put in every effort to make sure this game was as accurate to the 40k universe as possible while still making it appealing to those who aren't familiar with the franchise. The graphics are on par with modern AAA titles and is very stable (70+ average FPS at 1440p on a 13th gen Intel and 3060Ti set to "Quality" graphics) on pre-launch and pre-day one patch, with only some minor bugs that doesn't detract from the overall game and will most likely be fixed in the day one patch.

Game play wise it feels familiar to the original game while giving subtle improvements to the overall formula. You feel every Bolter round and Chainsword swing, and the execution animations are gruesomely awesome, especially against the Tyranids. The main campaign story picks up more or less where you left off from the first game with about 100 years in the future (not too long for a seasoned Space Marine) and plays to similar story beats as the first.

Having tried Multiplayer (PvP) for a few hours it feels serviceable. Game play is pretty straight forward with different classes to choose from. The more you play (both PvP and the PvE missions which are separate from the campaign) the more cosmetics you unlock. The more you play different classes in PvP you have a separate leveling system that unlocks other weapons. So far the PvP feels balanced enough though the heavy Bolter/armor class seems a tad too durable when facing against certain different classes. At launch there are a handful of maps and game modes in PvP though they get worn out after a few long play sessions. I will be looking forward to more released maps as the game is updated.

Overall what you see is what you get from this game. An extremely polished, well made game that for the 40k faithful will enjoy immensely with all the call outs to the greater lore and for players who just want to tear through wave after wave of monsters and feel bad ass doing it. Games Workshop chose well to let Saber Interactive handle the reins in this sought after squeal and I look forward to what they plan on doing next with this game and the franchise as a whole.

I agree completely with Elad's review of this great game. I haven't seen this much well designed and polished code since Skyrim. The worlds are filled with a single vibrant color thats sure to please any die hard graphics enthusiast, and the challanging yet well designed crafting system filled with helpful hints and tutorials that can help ease any new player in mere hours. With work from the developer currently 100% focused on improving this game and this game alone we will sure to see new content for this game for decades to come.

Mangenta/10 would dupe again.

From the get-go, Transistor thrusts you into a world of mystery and artistic brillance with a technological city back-drop. The game itself is similar to that of its older sibling "Bastion" but with added Turn-based RPG elements which are nice gives a breath of customization to your moves and abilites. Where Transistor really shines is its story which, while confusing at first, is worth the effort of discovering through listening to dialog and reading through decrypted data. Transistor is overall a very solid game much like its sibling while making a few changes to make the game feel resfreshing and worth playing again in the harder difficulties, and is one of the few game I bought as soon as it was released.

Oh, and did I mention the music is fantastic? The music is fantastic.

Playing around with it, it's time consuming. Keep in mind that this is a simulator for Tabletop games so this isn't for everyone. There's a comprehensive wiki and once all the information is set up, joing a game is easy. It's just going to take time and a trial run to really get the ball rolling. But if its something we will actually use more than once, it's worth the automation and controls it provides. For someone who has, wants, or loves to play a Tabletop RPG like 3.5 or PathFinder and you don't have friends nearby to join you, Fantasy Grounds is the simulator for you!
