I started out thinking "oh this is a fun little rhythm game". It was for a while, then I hit the middle and was like "ah, this has the feels". Then I finished the game... Cried for 40 minuets, replayed the end, cried for another 40. Played the ending song in the beatmap, cried while doing it. Saved the song from the ending... and cry a little every time I listen to it.

Great game, 10/10, would recommend. Join the discord after beating it!

This game is one of the only extraction shooters with a story, very rare for an extraction shooter. Love it or hate it art style and extremely solid gameplay all pulled together with engaging map mechanics and build crafting. Give it a try! I will note, the learning curve is HEAVY but if you're willing to stick into it and give it a shot it's worth the time to learn it!

Dev's are neglecting balance (forgetting that 'power fantasy' is on the jacket) and performance (that can brick / damage PCs).

Update Oct 26: The new balance changes are good on paper... sadly they did 2 things wrong and they tried to hide one of them. Firstly, drag changes to SMGs... why? Just why?! They already were lower than ARs so the change is just demonstrably counter productive and defeats the point of the balancing changes. Two, WTF are the mob changes to fire and break points?! This indirectly nerfs the fire AR and counter acts ALMOST ALL THE AR BALANCING CHANGES, why? Just why?! What happened to "Power Fantasy".

Arrowhead, give up on the "grunt fantasy" let us help you make a good game yeah? Listen, yeah?

As for the player base... DO NOT CHANGE YOUR REVIEWS, this is a bait and switch update that took a MONTH to come out.

Update April 22: With the announcement of the newest warbond, pay / time sink gating vehicles from players for the first time I have to update this... Arrowhead has clearly decided to follow the corporate trend of money over quality, they are not worth your time nor your money. Go buy Unbeatable instead, you'll thank me.

PS: Props for the performance tweaks, I know it really helps some systems (but not mine, it's a journey I get that, no stress).

A short story around 3-5 hours filled with wonderful music and some impactful choices that alter the outcomes of some characters stories. Good and well paced puzzles to tie it all together. Great game for a close friend or partner!

Wonderful recommendation for a night of fun! Just don't expect to play it more than once or twice. Try it!

One of the best mech games released in a long time, with wonderful levels of customization leading to large amounts of inventive builds and similar styles including customization of decals / art for each mech you design.

100+ Hours in... still only halfway through, there be enough content squad, I promise! That aside, it's go so much for everyone that it's a must buy, even for those whom have never played a souls game.

Couple cons though, game has some performance drops (sadly it hurts more b/c is 60fps locked) but after 3 major patches it doesn't have them very often at all anymore.

Pros: literally everything else... The game is so massive and packed I can't really express who phenomenal it is, there is the world to explore like an entire world. Game is amazing, please get it if it looks interesting to you at all!

Update: Game runs way better, multiplayer invading has been improved and they continue to patch it making the pvp better each patch, come back if you'd walked away due to those things!

Is this game perfect, no, is this game perfectly polished to a shine, no. Honestly, that's okay. The game is stable but not quite optimized, it eats up performance like a monster but this will change, the game is 100% playable (in a good way) right now.

Races are fun and all differentiated from each other, it's a strong foundation. The campaign story quests are a little unforgiving for little reward (very in theme for Warhammer though) which drags down the gameplay a little. Despite this, it's still a blast, bugs aside, it's still a blast! I completely understand concerns about bugs, they exist and they will get squashed. I understand concerns about optimization, but I haven't seen it.

If your worried about performance, pull up the prologue and see how far you can get, if that doesn't work, than you know how the rest of the game is going to run. All else aside, the game is a blast! I recommend it to fans now, but for new people, worried about issues, waiting will only make it sweeter!

EDIT: Dev's have let the game slide back to it's terrible state again, coming out with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ patches... CA needs to do better!

Have about 100+ hour (pre-steam days) and played through all the expansions through 2019. This is rough, the game is fun and I will continue to play because it's fun but that aside I can't recommend it. To summarize, the game is fun and filled with content. You'll never get bored, there's always more to play!

So why? Well it's really simple, you have to navigate the mess that is all the DLC's and to make it worse it both has season passes that cost 10$ and a cash shop. If the DLC's bundled like they do for FF14 I would recommend it and the season passes would be okay (honestly the content provided is probably worth 10$, but hurts again with all the other parts). It would also help if they removed the cash shop completely, opening up the cosmetics to the rest of the community.

If your willing to put that aside and you have money to flat out WASTE than it's good, but the BEST experience is locked behind 40$ a year + all the DLC.
