I agree with Q <format C:> will most certain solve your problem, but if you don't want to do this, I have one possible solution.
There is one place FME alone can cause your PC to act crappy, and that is in your video drivers. I have even talked with Nvidia about this.
What you need to do is to clear all traces of all previous, and current video drivers installed on your system.
It comes a time, when the amout of driver updates becomes "too much" for your pc.
That time came to me, and it also came to Raw, we both did this job, and we both got cured.
The procedure is described under announcements at Fortius, with head line "Lag Problems"
It's not as hard as it seems. I'll be happy to assist you meat.
We could do this together on chat if you want.

not possible, man, that only FME itself is affecting yuor pc. Some issues have been occured to FME software installed in your pc, or your windows system are going to be instable, no other way. i advise you to format your c: or partition where steam apllications are settled, then re-dowload and re-instal FME.

Meat, < format c: >, then instal w7 64bit, and update video driver, or if you have 150-200$, buy a new geForce or Ati;
i suppose that if you have frame rate issue with FME, you should have quite the same issues with all otherelse games but the kind of AlienSwarm or SpiralKnight

One , I lose my job on the 12th. Two , since there is a new crew in receiving my "Boss" has seen fit to make us all work without breaks or lunch the entire day.
