Street Fighter 6 is easily one of the best fighters on the market. For anyone new or intimidated by the fighting game/2D-fighter genre, I would highly suggest giving World Tour mode a run through; it's a well-disguised tutorial with RPG elements.

In terms of the online fighting itself, it can feel a little lacking in support from Capcom. The "one patch a year" philosophy can make the game feel stale at times, but regardless, it really is a well-balanced game. As someone who is playing a "low-tier" character (Jamie), none of the characters seem outrageously busted in comparison to other games. I truly feel like I am fighting the player, which I think is the best thing you can say about a fighting game.

The 90s/ early-2000s look of this game does it for me. I hope the devs continue to update this game.

I would be very skeptical of anyone reviewing this game solely out of nostalgia because this game is not good 20+ years after its' release, especially at the price $30 price point.

Now, mind you, I played this game solo so maybe it's a better with a friend. As a solo player, it is a must that you play this game on easy. At first, I tried to play this game on normal but found the enemies to practically be one shotting me while they were practically damage sponges. Even on easy mode and playing the "strongest character" (the fighter dwarf) I always felt as though I was underleveled/underequipped and was only beating a boss because I outlasted them by chugging health potions.

There's a leveling system, but almost all of the abilities are passive and when there are active spells/attacks they're extremely underwhelming and do little to no damage.

I've yet to play the most recent infamous remake of D&D Dark Alliance but I imagine the game depth is about as deep as this one.

On the bright side, I think the game is beautiful for an early 2000s release but that is about as far as it goes for me.

With the floaty movement straight from DOOM or Borderlands, Gunfire Reborn is a solid roguelike looter-shooter. And this praise is coming from a person who find roguelikes to be lazy game development. I'd argue you're getting more than your money's worth if you were to buy this game on sale.

If it's not the 50+ weapons, each hero provides a good amount of replayability as you attempt to fill out their Ascension levels -- a mechanic that provide overall stat bonuses which incrementally make your next playthrough a little bit more easy.

My only complaint is that I wish each stage would have a little bit more variety or differentiation as a "procedurally generated" game.

While I appreciate Airship Syndicate's attempt to take on the Ruined King project, I wish they would have put more effort into making this game stand out in comparison to its four-year-old predecessor, Battle Chasers: Nightwar. The JRPG gameplay loop is exactly the same minus the lane system which was fun to play around with.

Story-wise, as a big League of Legends lore fan, I do not see this game as the hallmark of lore everyone is raving about. The entire time while I played Ruined King, I couldn't shake the feeling that it felt like "a-group-of-League-of-Legends-fan-favorites-walked-into-a-bar" feeling. If you love these characters, great, but the game didn't sell me on the group's synergy other than Illaoi, Pyke and Miss Fortune. A lot of the characters come off as very one-dimensional and there is minor character development by the end of the game.

For the visuals, I appreciate the comic book-style cel-shading, but this game is extremely monochromatic with the game barely drifting away from the cool color palette. But that is to be expected when you spend most of your time in the Shadow Isles, a ghost haven.

Overall, I can't say I'm impressed with this game, as someone who played Battlechasers: Nightwar. However, if you have never played an Airship Syndicate game before and are interested in learning the League of Legends Lore, this game may be for you but consider waiting until it's about $10 or lower.

If I could some up "No More Heroes" in a few words it's: comical story, but awfully repetitious.

I was first introduced to the game as a teenager and it truly feels as though it's catered to that audience -- and, don't get me wrong, that can be a good thing. But revisiting it nearly 10 years later, I cannot suggest the first "No More Heroes" in good faith to the average "adult" player.

It has a ton of comic and retro-inspired flavor to it; however, it is not enough to carry the immense amount of filler shoved into the game. It feels as though you are watching an anime with more filler than there is actual plot. I would say 80% of the game is spent doing fetch quest while the other 20% is fighting bosses who can oftentimes feel repetitive and uninspired.

Not only that, you can often hear some of the awkward voice lines up to five times within seconds of one another.

Despite my gripes with the game, I am a person that loves the manga/comic art-style enough to play the second installment -- though I hope a lot of my criticisms are fixed next go round.

The game looks simple but comes with plenty of tech that carries over from Melee. Good luck battling the huge experience curve.
