I really enjoyed Pacific Drive. If you liked Subnautica you’ll probably like this too. I don’t think it will be one of the top games of the year for me, however I still give it a very healthy 7.5 out of 10. Considering the price of this game I think it’s a great value also.

I never thought I'd want to be an overweight diver spending his days catching fish and uncovering the secrets of the sea while also running a sushi bar at night, yet here I am.. This is my chill game of the year. 10/10 would recommend.

This is the first game that I've beat entirely on my Steam Deck. I would recommend this game as a great showcase of the Steam Deck.

I really enjoyed Cloudpunk despite the otherwise lower Metacritic score of 73 and other 'meh' reviews. I think this game, like any other is about managing your expectations. There isn't any deep strategy here, upgrading and modifying my HOVA seemed to have little effect on gameplay. The gameplay felt mostly linear, but the story is what makes this all shine. The entire game is wonderfully voice acted. I really enjoyed the low-key chill atmosphere of just cruising around the busy city of Nivalis and making my deliveries while listening to all the stories. The handful or moral dilemmas you must choose between is rather interesting and definitely made me stop and think how I wanted to proceed and what future consequences I may suffer later or what rewards/benefits I may recieve. I became very attached to a couple of the characters and their stories wormed their way into my heart and before I knew it I was having emotional responses to things that happened (which is a sign of good story/character writing, imho) Sadly, the game was pretty short as I finished it in less than 7 hours but I still believe it to be worth the price (even a better deal if you can pick it up on sale). I thought the game was very good looking and the controls felt good also. The camera was a bit clunky at times but it was fun playing with first person view, 3rd person view, and an almost 2D side-view diorama sort of views (almost like Octopath Traveler). Some of the levels did feel a little copy/paste after a while, or I was just revisiting the same places often but was unaware due to the otherwise lack of detailed 'neighborhoods' (they most all look/felt the same, aside from a few in particular). Some of the vendors also seemed to be copy/paste offering only limited items that also didn't seem to have any effect on the game.

With all that said, I hands down recommend this if you enjoy a good story and want something a little more on the chill-relaxing side. I already went ahead and picked up the DLC after playing through the base game!

Very fun intro to the Steam Deck!

I remember when this was supposed to be an original xbox one launch title but then slipped nearly a year. I lost track of it and when it finally came on my radar it got mediocre reviews so I never bought it. While waiting for Destiny 2 to come out I did the trial (why don't more games offer a trial?), I was nearly instantly hooked and by the end of the weekend purchased the Gold Edition of the game. Spoiler: I never even got into Destiny 2 because The Division has its claws deep in me now.

Old players or those who never played should give this a shot, from what I understand a lot of the complaints have been fixed. This game simply offers *so* much to do its unreal. Underground and Survival are excellent game modes and worthy DLC purchases. The new global events are outstanding. The gear is amazing and complex in its various combinations. This game is so deep. The co-op with friends is awesome and the grind for that dank loot is real. Seriously, I've never enjoyed a game so much.
