Some notes for perspective buyers:

Note that animations and level select are 60FPS, but game physics are tied to framerate, and so the ball-rolling gameplay itself is locked to 30FPS. In a game like Katamari this isn't a huge issue, but it would really look amazing at a solid 60FPS.

Additionally, this is more of a remake than a port - the physics are all the same, but the game was remade in Unity, and so there are some quirks that come with that. For example some sound effects are higher or lower pitched than they should be, some sound effects are missing completely, and so you'll probably notice the differences in presentation if you played a lot of the PS2 version. The VA for the cutscenes is in Japanese, but that can be converted to the original English dub with some file replacement. (Personally I like the dub more)

With that said, everything plays just like you'd expect for the first Katamari game. In other words, if you haven't played it before, you're in for a long ride.

Here's hoping to a We Love Katamari remakemaster like this one.

If you're a pseudo-masochist and love tight, momentum based physics, this game is definitely for you.

The biggest difference between the physics in this game and physics in many other platformers is that you aren't remotely floaty - everything you do carries momentum and has weight to it. It's fun to control without being obnoxiously frustrating at times like Super Meat Boy's "i'm a Need for Speed sports car" physics.

If you don't think that's the kind of physics you're looking for, but you're still interested, try the original freeware N v1.4 or N v2.0 before buying. They're both rough around the edges, obviously, but the physics are exactly the same as N++.

Very fun and interesting, but matchmaking is atrocious.

Still a very good cs game and worth the money.
