Just as much of a boring chore as the real hunting experience, except you don't have any meat to sell nor racks on your wall.

All the animals are omniscient. They spook without even making so much as a peep while you're crouch walking behind a rock face, even the big predators. And if you're lucky enough to get the jump on them, they just LOVE wasting your time standing a million miles away while you spam calls not knowing if they even heard them.

That's if you even want to hunt what's around. Most of the time they're hardly worth the bullets. And if you do find something worth your while that hasn't high tailed it if you so much as brush against a bush, the only way you're gonna get your full rewards is if you shoot them with the proper kind of ammo in exactly the right spot at a distance they REALLY don't want to close. And don't hunt too much in the same spot, or else animals will literally NEVER show up there again!

I miss Cabela's Big Game Hunter Pro Hunts (RIP Steam shop page). Near PERFECT blend of realism-ish and gameplay. Sure the animals were sometimes psychic, but not nearly as skittish. They let you know when calls worked (and they usually did), the bullet time ala Sniper Elite made learning how and where to place your shots easy, and moving (although not as granular as theHunter) didn't alert everyone in a 10 mile radius.

I had more fun Skyrim climbing my way up to the peak of Mt. Leviathan than I had in the other 11 hours playing this game. I'm hardly even joking.

It's as unforgiving and frustrating as it is complex and deep.

Like banging your head against a steel vault door, it all feels worth it in the end when you crack it open and finally get to make the game your ♥♥♥♥♥ as opposed to the other way around.

If you want realism with that hint of arcade-y flare you'd expect from Cabela, then this game is perfect.

Although they're known mostly for gunning down monkeys with machine guns in the african plains, Cabela this time has taken a more realistic approach complete with sound sensitive animals, the wind carrying your scent, and different caliber weapons actually meaning anything against big game.

I swear those animals are psychic. Do so much as scratch your balls the wrong way and they'll be gone by the time you look back.

With a modding community as active and lively as DOOM or Half-Life, Sven Co-op has survived purely off of its fans ever since the turn of the century.

Although the technology is dated by modern standards, this serves its purpose just fine.

You see, there are no single player designed Sven maps. Playing Sven is like being part of a hivemind, like an ant in its colony.

You navagate around your world, you solve some puzzles, you die several times against enemies or mobs clearly designed for a server full of people, and you all strive towards a common goal at the end of the road. With the exception of campaigns, this makes each map like its own little episode. This means that no two maps are the same and the experience is new each time.

I never played it during its hayday, but playing it with friends or a server full of people who aren't trolls is an experience unlike any other.

Looks like a MSX game.

Sounds like a NES game.

Disgusting.

Other then that,
you play as cute grill who is also princess and you throw drugs at yuckies like you're some irresponsible pharmacist so that NPCs who are as dumb as characters from Undertale can be happy. The controls are simple, you can't game over, and the music is moderately catchy. (IF NOT INAUTHENTIC)

It is cute gaem.

Most of all, it's free. Because it's a tinge too shallow to be paid for. Which means it's a good thing the developers know that. It also means that if they just do what they did but bigger and better (and maybe more authentic), then they could charge a few bux for it.

Just beat it.

This game is the buggiest piece of ♥♥♥♥ to have ever been added to my portfolio of games I've played. Garry's Mod doesn't even hold a candle to how many times you'll have to enter console just to get yourself out from between rocks you're not even touching or how many times you'll be walking on thin air over helpless Legionares. And if you thought that was bad, there's more! Expierence the joys of having objects in your inventory disappear into thin air over you simply entering and exiting a building. From Miniguns to Golf Clubs, as long as somebody takes away your weapons when you enter a building for "security's sake", then 75% of the time you're not getting it back!

Other than that, it's kinda fun.
