The reason for the thumbs down is simply because there isn't a ''meh'' button. The game is neither good or bad.
So I clocked a few hours into the game before writing this and i'll probably clock in some more as well after this. But I still would not recomend it to my friends.

Biggest gripe of the game is the god awful combat system. I've died way to many times from beeing in a fight and beeing stuck in an animation when I need to do something else.
then there are the cars. It's a really nice touch that you can capture cars and use them. But they loose their point unless you are going for a 100% completion thing or want to use them for races. Yes two (and only two) cars have special abilities, but you loose your codriver and the oh so usefull harpoon. Some people mention stealth, for sneaking into bases. But there is no need for that because the base defences are so easy to overcome.

Which brings me into another silly thing about the game. AI... This game has such a bad AI. When you drive against the AI you'll see some serious rubberbanding mechanics going on. When fighting on foot you'll experience more then often that the AI are limited to a few areas where they are ''allowed'' to go. Fight in one room, then flee/run to the neighbor room and low and behold. 70% of the time the AI will not follow. Because they have hidden barriers that block them.
More often than not they get stuck because of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pathfinding.

So yeah. The game has massive flaws that break immersion and that's so sad. Because this game could be so much fun if they just had the time to adress these issues. Will these things be patched or fixed later? Most likely not.

One last thing...
It would be nice if they didn't cling so hard onto inspiration from Fury Road when making the game. Because the story nor the characters have NOTHING to do with the movie other than the Mad Max name.
