Reminds me a lot of tamagotchi or any of those late 90s, early 2000s desktop pets.
Translation could use a little work but it's not horrible.
Workshop is like 2% english speakers, though that's not the dev's fault, just something to keep in mind that you'll probably need google to figure out what any mods do

It's completely open source which is awesome for tinkerers and anyone who just likes seeing how things work

Found a goat dude who told me to leave him alone or he would kill again. Talked to him a few times to see if there would be anything different, but no. The text box got stuck on screen, couldn't close it so I kept playing with "I will kill again" blocking half my view. I open my menu and the game completely locks up. I guess he wasn't kidding.

this game's movement system is orgasmic, the music is fantastic, and the atmosphere is cool as hell. My only 2 complaints are:
- that there's no map, like at all (unless I'm stupid and haven't found it), which has led me to getting lost several times. It's honestly really frustrating not knowing where you are at all. I wish there were at least something giving me a sense of direction but so many of the hallways look similar, it's easy to get turned around.
- I'm playing on a steam deck right now, and I'm not sure if it's intentional, but the textures for some ui elements gets very crunched down to the point where it's unreadable. This seems like a bug, because on the title screen for example, the logo text is fine until I press start, then it gets really crunched down. Same thing happens to key counters, pause menu headers, interaction text, and just other random textures. This doesn't make it unplayable but its really annoying having to guess what things say.

With that, I give it a 8/10. This game is good, but the lack of a map reaaally hurts in my opinion. Hopefully the dev intends to implement one, even if it's extremely simple, because right now anything is better than nothing at all.

I like this game a lot, but as many others will tell you, content was removed from the game after purchase, leaving many parts of the game incomplete or missing story. That's like if someone sold you a car but later came by and took the wheels back.

The devs said they would replace the revoked content with something, but that was over 2 years ago, and there has been no word or updates since. Based on that, I think it's safe to assume this game is abandonware. I would not trust this developer to not pull something like this again either, as they've shown no care towards the damage they've caused to their reputation, so clearly it doesn't bother them.

If you can get it for free, borrow it, or get it at a steep discount, then by all means, but do not purchase this at full price. They don't deserve your money.

TL;DR: Sorta a rough gem. With a little polish, it could shine brightly. It has a handful of glaring issues, most of them combat related, but outside of that, it's a cute little Zelda-like with quite a bit of challenge. Overall, I like this game.

Worth the price? Not sure yet, I've only beat the first dungeon.

Update: I've passed the second dungeon-like area and the game has really grown on me. I think it's worth the asking price.

This review is going to be a bit rambly but bear with me. Let's start with the good...

The music is fan-freaking-tastic. I've found myself returning to areas just to hear the tunes there, and I'm strongly considering buying the soundtrack. The visuals are gorgeous, too. So far, the weapons are varied and enjoyable to use, and many of them synergize with one another so it's best to experiment with all your tools, not just trying to rely on one. I also enjoy that the game makes back tracking much easier on the player by opening up faster, alternative paths. This is especially useful after you die.

I read another review saying that the combat was bad and didn't give you the tools to fight properly. A few hours ago, I would have agreed. After spending some time playing, though, I've found that I have changed my mind. You get a sword, a handful of elemental bombs, a shield with a parry mechanic, and a dodge roll with a very generous amount of intangibility. Oh, and a few magical items. No challenge so far hasn't been something I couldn't overcome if I put the effort in to use all these tools and learn how they work with one another.

There's also a nice manual that you slowly unlock throughout the game that gives you area maps, tips, secret locations, and more. It's extremely helpful, I just wish half of it weren't in complete gibberish. I'm hoping that you learn more of the language throughout the game, or it's at the very least translatable, but I don't have much faith in that.

And now the not so good/stuff I wish would change:

Getting lost hasn't been an issue I've had so far, with the help of environmental cues and a few helpful arrow-signs, none of which seem out of place and fit in very well. That said, the secrets could use some work. Many of them don't just feel well hidden, but unfairly hidden instead. A prime example is one of the item shops , which is hidden in a place that is not pointed out by the game and I only found accidentally by walking into a wall and finding out there was a hallway behind there.

EDIT: I've crossed out the above information because I was incorrect. Upon closer inspection of the in-game manual, I've noticed that the manual DOES show you little hints on where secrets such as the shop may be. Zooming in on the manual helps a lot with this.

Since then, I've resorted to just walking against walls to find things because half the time it's a corridor that's hidden by the isometric perspective, or is a place where you think you can't go but you can anyway. The game also hides most of the aforementioned weapons this way(aside from the main sword and shield, which you are guided to), so if you don't explore everywhere the game has to offer, you'll miss things and might have a tough time later on.

I do wish that the game gave you i-frames after being hit. I've been multihit to death with no chance of escape more than once. Because of this, the first boss is an absolute nightmare, and you are guaranteed to die at least once. Even just a half second of invulnerability would do wonders for the combat, and make the game much more palatable for more users. I hope something is done about this.

EDIT 2: The 2nd boss is so, SO much easier than the first one, and I'm not sure why. I actually used LESS tools than I did on the first boss, and still managed to beat it first try, so I really have no idea.

In conclusion, I think it's good. I really do like it, and I'd love to see some of the kinks ironed out. Sometimes it follows the Zelda formula to a fault, specifically the NES era, but I hope the dev is willing to listen to feedback on where they might be able to improve.
