OVERALL: Very solid game, with developers constantly working towards fixing bugs/exploits and improving the game. New content is always available 4 times throughout the year, with the introduction of up to 8 new operators. These new operators allow for the meta to be reworked, resulting in more in-depth gameplay and matchmaking. I would recommend that you play with at least a minimum of 2 friends (3 in a 5-man lobby including yourself), to avoid toxic teammates unnecessarily kicking you.

EDITION: The original/starter edition (cheapest) contains no operators (besides the default recruit operator). This means that you will have to grind gameplay to accumulate renown (in game currency) to spend on operators. The price is significantly cheaper when compared to new DLC operators released each season, however it is still an accumulative large sum to unlock all 16 base operators – renown that could be saved for DLC operators or universal skins instead). As such, I would recommend any of the other editions (excluding the starter edition), varying on how much you want to spend resulting in how little you want to grind for renown. The more expensive the edition, the increased access to more content.

PASS: The season pass is an annual occurrence that allows access to new operators faster. For a few of approximately $50 (will vary dependent on your currency), you will gain access to the new seasonal operators a week earlier, receive a small renown boost, receive a small alpha pack boost, receive more daily challenges, new uniforms and headgear related to new operators released, 10% in-game discount and a R6 charm. Personally, I would recommend purchasing the pass as you are saving around 25k renown each new operator.

GAMEPLAY: Solid gameplay and features that allow for a more in-depth shooter compared to other 1-dimensional shooters like CSGO. For example, the ability to destroy walls on the map allow for more angles etc. (such as opening out a wooden site floor and holding below). Bugs do occur, but the developers are quick to remove to feature to fix the issue thoroughly before re-implementing it back into the game.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The game does require a solid PC, however settings can be optimized based on the users preference. I can run the game on Ultra graphics but chose to run lower settings for boosted performance. The game may cause external apps to lag. For example, the game may cause you to cut out from TeamSpeak/Discord calls whilst playing in game. However, this can be fixed by prioritizing the app in your task manager.
