50$ Expac and 50$ 'Annual Pass'?

Talk about squeezing as much out of the last of your dying IP as you can.

Star wars mods, WH40k mods, All this game needs is Star Trek and I'd be happy, even if LW2 (long war 2) already pretty much makes everyone a redshirt.

Several points to give on this game.

Pro:
- Honestly fun, and at this point in time, fairly well put together, no real bugs that I've run into over the 24 hours i've put into the game.

Con:
- The team currently actually working on the game is rather tiny and the publisher seems to give no ♥♥♥♥♥ about this game in the slightest at this point, and you can tell by the lack of major updates or even just new maps.

- Because of the point above there are almost no players in-game unless you want to play CSM/LSM and ONLY them. There are rarely any Ork games, I got maybe 3-5 over the time ive played and ive only ever gotten a single Eldar game over 24 hours.

- You will more than likely bounce between manageable to unmanageable ping due to the above issues as since there are so few people playing around the world it shoves everyone into a single server, depending on who actually connects to the match first (probably, no idea how it actually picks location)

Neutral:
- As you win/loose matches you gain Exp, Requisition and skill points, however unless you're willing to buy 20$(US) worth of their premium currencey, you'll only be able to actually use 1/3rd (from what ive calculated myself, might actually be diffrent) of what you make from matches, however the 2/3rds you don't get access to are 'banked' for a lack of a better term, which will/should unlock after you spend at least 20$ worth of their currency.

- That being said, I personally would have bought this game for 20$ IF it had more players so i wasn't forced to play a single character type, Space Marines, because that's slowly become more and more of a drag as time went on and if that 1/3rd gain wasn't there because of the price tag of a base game.



Overall, I do enjoy the game but, because of the Publishers complete disintress in the game, and its rockey launch, i'd say if you really liked Space Marine multiplayer and want to play a bit more of that, this game is worth giving a go as is. If they one day start trying to market the game again and the playerbase grows, i'd say it'd be more than worth the 20$ to unlock your 'banked' resourses, but otherwise its a F2P, no real need to dump cash into a game that seems to have been completely abandoned by its publisher. Unless you do genuinely enjoy the game then spend as much as you want, it's not my money.

It'll be great once they fix all the crashes and matchmaking bugs.


Also if you live anywhere other than the EU, prepare to have ♥♥♥♥ ping, since for some reason they don't have anything other than EU servers currently. (5/1/2015)
