If you're gonna play this game, I recommend playing on your own server with friends.
That's what I've been doing and It's been a lot of fun.

Public servers are messy, PvP dominated with kits and tpa commands and the survival aspect is mostly stripped while PvE lies flat in a coma, barren and averaging at most 10 players on top servers.

You will not have the legacy Unturned experience on public servers.

You can add workshop addons to spice up your gameplay but some addons are discontinued and broken because of the newer unturned versions so keep that in mind.

Neat game, bad playerbase. Playing will do you more harm than good, you'll feel your soul slip away and slowly rot as you devolve into a degenerate. If you feel like poking fun at the socially deranged teenagers playing this game, then feel free to do so with friends. But don't spend time on the game yourself. seriously, don't.
