This was a fantastic game. It's extremely multi-layered and complex, but the game eases you in so that by the time you're peeling back deeper and deeper layers of the game you're doing so with a natural feeling, not frustration or "how was I supposed to figure that out".

Once I started playing this game I couldn't stop until I 100% completed it - which is totally (reasonably) possible to do - and I was sad when it was done. Even though some parts get a little tricky, this game is very relaxing but it definitely has the "just one more go" itch to it. You play the game in "shifts" which are timed, but you can go as slow as you want without any real consequences; you can keep going back to the same project over and over until you're satisfied.

The story is good, the sound is good, the graphics are good, and I didn't encounter any bugs or serious glitches. The game teaches you how to play as part of the campaign and it feels natural and easy. In fact, unlike a lot of other games, I really welcomed the tutorial missions - even if I already pretty much knew what it was trying to tell me - because those missions aren't timed.

I should also note that this is the only space game I can remember ever playing that is truly 3D. Games like Homeworld or Eve exist in a 3D space but their core gameplay really is essentially 2D. This game gives intuitive, meaningful control of all 3 axes (pitch, yaw, AND roll) and you end up naturally needing to use them all, constantly. It is so satisfying to fly around, into, and throughout a spaceship and its inner workings in a zero-gravity environment, strategizing about how to cut it up efficiently and safely.

There was a moment where I wished I could play multiplayer (it's single-player only), but I found that just playing in parallel with a buddy, sometimes streaming each other's games, was even better. We enjoyed figuring out some of the "what if I do this..." things together.

Absolutely a 10/10 game.

This game was really fun to complete! There are several different kings to play as, each with very different play-styles. It's amazing how many different games you can get out of one simple set of rules, and this game really does well with that.

Paid $400 of the in-game currency (no real cash value, but it's a valuable in-game resource) to continue a game after losing a round. 30 seconds later the match lost connection and there was no way for me or my partner to rejoin or continue. This is not the first time we've lost a match we're invested in because of whatever this problem is. It's not our internet; this is the only game that does this.
I won't give positive marks to a game that randomly dumps me out of the match.

The network is frequently down, they've changed the rules so that other squads are way less likely to pick you up if they drop you, and they've stopped maintaining DMZ. Giving Activision any money, now or in the future, would just feel like throwing it away.

This is an excellent game, perfect for adults or children or couples or singles. Wholesome, challenging, and rewarding, with a top-tier soundtrack and excellent art. This would be a thumbs-up for sure EXCEPT that the game disconnects randomly and frequently when playing multiplayer. When you're disconnected your inventory is preserved but when you rejoin you spawn at your home, not wherever you were, so if you're in the middle of a mining run or something then you're screwed. Sometimes this happens two or three times in as many hours, and sometimes it happens every in-game day. This problem makes the game unplayable for multiplayer.

None of the steps suggested thus far in the community solve the problem, and until the issue is addressed since multiplayer is unplayable I can't recommend the game.

This is a great game but there is no way to save in the middle of a run. Runs average 30 minutes, so if you get to minute 27 and you lose power or your phone shuts off or another app takes control of your device (for mobile players) then you're screwed on the last 27 minutes and it's like you never ran at all.

Can't recommend the game until this problem is addressed.
