Genius. Extremely pick-up and play but deceptively deep, with a massive skill ceiling. Only complaint is that the skill floor is also quite high, regardless I expect to be playing this game for years to come. Campaign was also surprisingly engaging as well.

READ NEGATIVE REVIEWS.

90% of them will voice nit-pick problems. FOV locking, unskippable cutscenes, skewed difficulty curve and act like the game is ENTIRELY unredeemable because of these issues and leave a negative review. They're not invalid, but if ALL you have to complain about a game are these minor things I think that says wonders about the REST of the polish. A patch or two later and you'll have NOTHING to complain about.

Redout 2 has been out for 16 hours, jesus christ. Cut the poor developers some slack.

A true testament to everything indie games represent.

Mechanically deep and astoundingly well made... But never overstays its welcome, it'll be over before you know it - Though Inscryption isn't short.

Your expectations will be subverted, then subverted again, and with that in mind the game will still surprise you.
Inscryption has so much identity, so much going for it that nothing else does, and that makes losing it so much harder.

The Gameplay is a mastery of "less is more" with enough content to satisfy casual play and an INSANE amount of content for completionists. Good luck with the golden berries...

The Soundtrack is made with an astonishingly deep understanding of the games central themes. Award winning for a reason and absolutely plentiful.

The Story is a productive approach to coping with depression and anxiety and helps to rationalise why we feel in the first place.

The greatest lesson Celeste has to teach is not to hate or despise feeling, but to engage with, cooperate, and understand it.
