It's hard to recommend. The first two levels are good, and the water pools are too. but the puzzle based levels get reeal old real quick. there is a pretty neat puzzle though.

Simply put, It's simple, stupid fun. Turn off your brain and enjoy.

It's Christian God of War.

it's stand alone, and it's cheaper than the main game. also everything is unlocked from the get-go in this expansion. it's good.

It's not a bug, It's a feature

Don't let the the 3 hour playtime fool you, I've put countless hours into Doom 3 and the rest of the series in general whether it be stock through steam, or running through a source port. that being said there is only one reason to buy this version of the game. VR mod, that's it. that's the only reason to buy this version of Doom 3. The only VR mod for doom 3 that exists only works on the BFG edition. otherwise it's an altered and botched port of a game that was already on PC.

First off, they've taken out most graphics options except for a few that really don't do much without a full options menu. Then the amount of ammo they give in this version vs the other makes the game way too easy. they give you double the ammo and all your ammo for all your weapons will be maxed out an hour in. there's no ammo management needed in this version. on top of that the addition of the shoulder mounted almost defeats the whole purpose of the reason why they had that mechanic in the game in the first place. there are certain parts of the game that lose all intensity by having the flashlight conveniently attached to you shoulder.

Pretty much, unless you're looking to play Doom 3 in VR, get the original version of Doom 3 and it's expansion, load it into Dhewm 3 and you'll be better off.
