Definitely the shortest game in the series by far. My save file with all achievements doesn't quite have 25 total hours. The story and gameplay definitely has all of the fat trimmed from it, while still giving you all the same opportunities as most other games in the series. Very good overall, but lesser dollar and time-investment value than other games in the series for sure.

A great game to play with a couple of friends, but not so great of a game to play without them. Mods are fun to play around with and lots of laughs can be had, the core gameplay is satisfying enough to be a great background to conversation.

After owning this game for only a single day, I managed to break my consecutive gameplay record, hitting 11 hours in a row with little breaks, but without ever closing or stopping to be a responsible human being in any way. Though obviously this is not a good thing, it should show how good of a game this is, even to someone who doesn't normally play roguelikes

After 6 months of CS2, the game has remained unplayable about 50% of the time. Half the time when I launch, my guns have a bug where they shoot twice on client side, while still obviously only shooting one server-side. It makes any gunfight unbearable, and tap-firing becomes impossible. Movement and even weapon-switching are also very choppy, despite hours of troubleshooting. Cheaters are omnipresent in premier and are even sometimes in regular competitive. Ranks don't mean anything really as of yet, beyond just playtime. Meaning that you just have to grind for dozens of hours to get to whatever level you were at in GO, meaning it's just not worth wasting the time. Killing Floor 2 is generally an extremely cathartic and enjoyable experience. The gun-play is more satisfying than that of most other games, the difficulty scaling feels natural and satisfying to conquer (for the most part), and the roles that each class can fill is fun to explore with friends or randoms. The many brutal ways in which you can blow away, tear apart, and thoroughly thrash the zeds seemingly never gets old. The leveling system feels like a continuum where an individual level doesn't matter much, but across many levels you feel a difference in how powerful your class has become. Most of the perks you unlock at different levels feel like an interesting choice that I've found to be pretty up to the user, with a couple stand-out exceptions that become a must-pick at higher difficulties. Working as a team feels satisfying as each member usually has a specific role they fulfill to help lead the team toward success. The game feels grueling to load on an HDD and can even feel much slower than other games on a SSD, and I've found that crashing from menus and failing to boot upon new updates was an annoyingly common problem, but in the last year I've had very few problems of that sort. Otherwise, when in-game, there is some pretty incredible polish. In my many hours I've not experienced really any noticeable bugs, glitches, or serious issues that impact gameplay negatively. While balance issues and frustration with certain aspects of the game are present, there are often good and reasonable balance patches that take a lot of the problems away. I think that overall, the devs do an above-average job of communicating with the community in a good way and supporting the longevity of the game.
