Great little simplistic dungeon crawler, there's levelling up, optional health items and town warps.

years ago I was incredibly depressed and this game was a glint of sunlight in a monotonous period.

a different beast to dark souls 2, which is a different beast all in it's own right.

I soured on this game about where I assume is about 70% of the way through the game, I love these styles of games, but it just became repetitive in a way that was more routine than fun.

There is a line of dialogue in this game that is one of the worst line reads I have ever heard. it's a very playable game, if you want a breezy soulslike, it's one of the firsts!

Zell misunderstood john cougar, and choked. my favourite FF game.

It's sad that you can't buy this anymore, and that the genuine proprietary cable is so hard to get. the sequel greatly improves on this one.

is it a metroidvania if you only really go downwards?

MinerVGA is a classic and this echoes that.
