It's nice to play essentially a refreshed version of BTD Battles. However, I'm disappointed that the "pay-to-win" aspect carried over into this game.

If you have VIP, you essentially have a guaranteed advantage over non-VIP players as you are able to gain more xp and unlock more upgrade options for your towers. It would be more fair if VIPs were matched with VIPs and non-VIPs were matched with non-VIPs during matchmaking.

Playing this game actually felt less enjoyable compared to the first Battles. I know that there's always a "meta," but it wasn't fun being essentially "forced" to pick the same towers like TACK SHOOTER and survive rushes into "late game" (round 26 or so) and see who can click the button to send DDTs first. They shouldn't even add a round 40 because everyone knows to just spam DDTs since no one can counter them. The pacing of the rounds/game is too fast compared to the first battles. You can send waves of overly strong bloon types way too early. A perfect example are the DDTs. As someone without all the upgrades, there is simply NO COUNTER to DDTs. So, if we get into the "late game," both me and the other player are trying to click the DDT button the fastest. Whoever clicked it one millisecond faster wins the game, since no one can kill DDTs on either side. The other towers in this game are basically useless and there's no variety since everyone just picks the same towers no matter the situation.

I really do hope that Ninja Kiwi makes changes to this game, because despite being a diehard BTD fan, I currently do not see myself playing this game in the long run. Quite an unfortunate, disappointing launch to the game.
