Easy fun with friends that will last you a fair amount of time, give you things to laugh about, and is very affordable.

Wish I could say it was a great game. It's fun and has a lot of awesome ideas, but the Chinese player base destroys the quality of the game. Due to its pvp nature, new players are constantly griefed at every opportunity which makes progression difficult. It's pretty much a catch-22. You need to do x objective to get stronger, but you need to get stronger to do x objective. Maybe you could with a friend or two, but then the Chinese wait around the clock (they alternate players) to stand by the "safe" zone to prevent you from playing the game.

I can't understand their reasoning unless they just badly want a dead game. This is in the server labeled "Americas" by the way.

The style of combat and skills are refreshing, especially for an MMORPG. There's plenty of quests and activities to be done as well. For anyone viewing the price tag and wondering if it's worth it however, I'd say that depends on the player. Here are my main pros and cons:

PROS:
- Above average graphics
- Enjoyable World PVP System
- Ability to use open voice chat
- Various ways to fight, not being limited to either melee or range or a class. Respecs are readily available
- Large world

CONS:
- Main quest plot is lackluster since you spend most of your time traversing the map for a quick fight
- Playerbase is falling
- Company (guild) system lacks a search or apply option, requiring you to whisper the only member you can see, the leader. This is awful because the leader is not always on nor available to answer everyone's whispers
- Forced to pay for a DLC in order to use mounts in an already massive world
- Parts of the map will instant kill you unless you pay to unlock the area
- Bots roam the map in paths, nabbing resources and making it difficult for leveling professions

There are more pros and cons, but overall these are the things that appealed and didn't appeal to me. If you're playing with 3+ friends, I absolutely recommend it and think you guys will have a blast on your own. If you're playing solo and hoping to immerse yourself in a community and pvp, etc... I would steer clear completely. I enjoyed my time on New World, but due to the overpriced paywalls, bugs, and dying community, I'll be moving onto a similar but unarguably better game in Elder Scrolls Online.

More fun with friends, but a great game.

Great game. I felt that the mechanics were fun, but also punishing (in a good way). I liked being able to plan things in co-op or solo with the borescope, poke around and figure out what I needed to do to get a good score. It's different from other "run around and spray" games. That said, I wish there was more to do in multiplayer or quick play. I know it's a small game, but it's so enjoyable- it would be nice to see various scenarios or weapons.

Brief game, but definitely fun for being free (: It's a nice puzzling game to play with friends, and working through it can go from anywhere between 3-6 hours depending on your teamwork. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a casual game to play together (plus afterwards, you can switch roles and try again!).

First day release was rough and people spam-bombed the ratings, but it's become significantly better since. There are still, however, bugs you'll encounter in the game. Hopefully they fix these bugs as quickly as they fixed the servers. The story is okay, I feel that it'll pick up because I've done plenty of side quests (which is how I've gotten my hours), but as of now it's bland and mainly relies on cutscenes to progress the story. I would recommend this game to anyone who has friends willing to play with them, as a multiplayer without in-game chat or voice chat feels really dead. Especially in a room limited to 3 people. Teamwork is non-existent without communication, so you hope other players are competent or don't randomly afk.

Hackers are filled all throughout the game and reporting them does nothing to mend this issue. Then, by some chance, their program will decide to BAN YOU PERMANENTLY, without any valid reasons- stating only that they detected "a form of violation." Essentially- "give us your money, we don't care if you actually broke a rule, bye". Ridiculous waste of money. From the moment I paid I was attacked constantly by hackers, and then banned PERMANENTLY, lol.
