There's nothing positive I can say about this game that doesn't exist in the thousands of thousand other reviews, but this is your signal to play Daniel Mullins other games. Yes, they look weird. Yes, even the one you think looks really ugly. It is also amazing and they all subtly tie in to each other.

Runs at ~60fps at 1440p at whatever it made default settings except with DLSS turned off
3090, 13700KF, 32GB DDR4. No performance issues within the first hour or so.

Game is fun so far; I really like Obsidian so I hope to really like this. So far I do.

The passion that these small team/ single person games exude is why I keep playing video games. It's what keeps this medium from being just a way to extract dollars. In an age when we're spoiled for choice in the next game to play, I'm glad to have picked Animal Well.

Maximum comfy. Pinnacle of walking sim with real gameplay and a world that piques curiosity.

After finishing the story ~65 hours in, I can say this will be one of my all time favorite games. Honestly, Kojima's best work since MGS3. A journey that rewards planning, diligence, and ingenuity and at the same time being a blast all the same if you lack any of those. Calling it a walking sim is of course a bit of a joke, but regardless, to actually think it is one is such a disservice. Its fun to play, the story is interesting, and you would be hard pressed to not form a strong emotional bond with Sam and BB.

Get this game. Be prepared to immerse yourself in it, though. It demands nothing less.
