Phenomenal art, crisp combat, and a bleak sense of humor make me say "one more hour wouldn't hurt" at 5am. Brilliant so far. Give it a shot if you even remotely enjoy isometric games.

Many people call Terraria '2D Minecraft'. While that is true in the sense that it has mining, construction, and sandbox aspects, Terraria is so much more. Hundreds of items, swarms of unique enemies, and 'easy to play hard to master' gameplay makes for a very well rounded experience. Don't let the pixelated graphics or the side-scrolling aspect turn you away. The dynamic lighting is very nice. Carrying a torch will light up the area around you. You can throw glow sticks down into caves to see what's ahead. You can even buy a mining helmet, and won't have to worry about carrying a light with you at all! One of the things I found impressive was the way liquids work. Water settles. Lava flows the way one would imagine lava should flow. Want to flood an entire cave? Dig a tunnel from the ocean and let it flow.

All in all, Terraria is a spectacular game. It has multiplayer support, and the combat system ties in well with that. The most recent update (1.2) has effectively /doubled/ the saize of an already impressive game. Would recommend to anyone.

One of the best communities I've seen in a game. TF2 is beautifully rendered with it's own animation and art style. Since the textures are so simple (don't get me wrong, they're good) TF2 will run on almost any computer. TF2 supports the Steam Market, and has a simple yet effective crafting system. The lack of an in-game currency system has created a market unlike any other, and this market has been growing and changing since TF2's release. The Graphics are smooth, The sound is hi-def, and the physics are wonderful.

That pretty much wraps it up. You can expect the humor typical of Valve in this imaginative, competitive game.
