For those curious about the VAC ban:

I have an old 5 digit SteamID. It was stolen years ago and the theft went unnoticed since I was inactive for such a long time. I returned to Steam to play CS:GO and discovered it had been hijacked. During that time, either the hijacker or another 3rd party that purchased my hijacked account received a VAC ban for hacking in COD. While I was able to prove through a lengthy process to Valve that the account was indeed mine, I could not convince them to remove the VAC ban. So there you have it, it's just something I have to live with in exchange for having my account returned to me.
